Debunking The Lies Of The Jehovah's Witnesses That Jesus Didn't Resurrect Bodily by alBHAGDADI: 1:00pm On Jun 19, 2019
The Jehovah's Witnesses claim that Jesus didn't resurrect bodily, that what resurrected after he was buried was his Spirit. They have Bible verses which they use to back the claim up, but what they fail to know is that those verses are misconstrued. The verses, when examined properly, show that they aren't saying what the Jehovah's Witnesses say they mean.

When the JW say Jesus resurrected, they simply means his spirit left his body and was raised up on the third day. Right there is a contradiction.

If the Spirit/Ghost of Jesus Christ was what got resurrected, then it means Jesus didn't resurrect on the third day as he said he would and as the Bible and the Apostles preached.

Luke 23:46 (KJV)
46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

As seen in the verse above, Jesus gave up the ghost the very moment he died on the cross. It means his spirit left his body which is the definition of death according to the Bible verse below.

James 2:2 (KJV)
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

But according to the JW, that single incident was the resurrection. Mind you, they won't state it out this way, but that is what they are implying when properly scrutinized. Because, since they say Jesus Christ resurrected as a spirit, it becomes clear that they are implying that his body was abandoned and his spirit continued to live. If that's the case according to them, then it means Jesus resurrected the day he died, not on the third day as he said he would. That's False Witnessing from them.

Now, let's talk about the verses which they use to claim that Jesus was raised a spirit. They use those verses to claim his body did not resurrect but his spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

They quote the above verse and say the body of Jesus didn't resurrect and go to heaven because it is flesh and blood, which the Bible says cannot inherit the kingdom of God. The next thing they do is back it up with the below verse which talks about a spiritual body.

1 Corinthians 15:44
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

After quoting the above verses, they now tell you "you see, Jesus natural body died and was buried, but he was raised a spiritual body, meaning he was raised a spirit without his body".

The problem with the JW who love to call themselves Bible students is that they don't really study the Bible. They only swallow what their Watchtower organization feeds them which are lies, and I'll prove it.

First and foremost, to be called a Christian, you have to believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Jehovah's Witnesses claim they also believe in that concept, but they are liars. Their believe stops at the burial. When well scrutinized, one will see that they don't believe Jesus resurrected. Them saying that his body didn't resurrect but his spirit did, is enough to know that they don't believe Jesus resurrected. They just pay it lips service. Now, let's see if they are saying the truth or not. Gently read the passage below.

John 2:19-21 KJV
19Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

In verse 19, Jesus told the Jews that if they destroyed his body, he will raise it up in three days. The Jehovah's Witnesses have called Jesus a liar when they said he didn't raise his body up. They called him a liar when they said he left his body to rot but resurrected his spirit. That's False Witnessing from them

You see, in the book of Psalms, King David prophecied that God won't abandon the soul of Jesus in hell neither will he allow his body to see corruption.

Psalm 16:10 (KJV)
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

As seen above, two resurrections took place: Jesus soul resurrected from hell and his body resurrected from the ground and both returned back to their former state but with a slight difference. I will explain the difference soon, because that is what has confused the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Remember how I said the Jehovah's Witnesses love to quote the below verses to support their false believe that Jesus didn't resurrect bodily? Read them again.

1 Corinthians 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

1 Corinthians 15:44
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

Now, let me show you what they got wrong about the verses. The first verse says flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. The JW twist this to claim that that is why Jesus only resurrected in spirit and left his body of flesh and blood behind.

What they don't know is that, yes flesh and blood won't inherit the kingdom of God, but Flesh will. This raises a question: Did Jesus Christ resurrect his body or was it just his spirit that resurrected? Let's hear what Jesus said himself after he resurrected and appeared to his disciples.

Luke 24:39 (KJV)
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

As seen above, Jesus said he has flesh and bones which spirits don't have. Clearly, we see that Jesus resurrected in his body which was buried. But you say "didn't you just quote that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God?".

Yes, flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, but FLESH and BONES will. So definitely, flesh will go to heaven but the one with blood will not. The body Jesus Christ resurrected in a spiritual body which has flesh and bones but no blood.

1 Corinthians 15:44
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

The above verse shows there is a natural body and a spiritual body. The difference is that one has blood while the other doesn't. The similarities is that they both have flesh and bones. The natural body has blood because the Bible says:

Leviticus 17:11 (KJV)
11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

The Spiritual body doesn't have the blood and that's why the resurrected body of Jesus was just flesh and bones. It didn't have the blood because Jesus had given it for the remission of our sins.

Matthew 26:28 (KJV)
28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Remember we just saw in Leviticus that the life of the flesh is in the blood. Below is Jesus talking about giving his life/blood for we his sheep.

John 10:11 (KJV)
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

You see, the Jehovah's Witnesses are false witnesses who pretend to be Christians but are opposers of the word of God. They insult God with their false doctrines. When they say Jesus didn't resurrect bodily, they clearly state that they are not Christians.

To call yourself a Christian, you will have to believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. It means you believe that Jesus died, his body was buried and that body which was buried was resurrected.

Luke 24:39 (KJV)
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

When the Jehovah's False Witnesses say that Jesus didn't resurrect his body, they simply say that God performed a huge scam. Ask them to tell which body Jesus was showing to his disciples. They'll say God gave him a borrowed body to use to appear before his disciples. They simply mean God gave him a body that looked like his original body that was nailed and pierced. This simply means Jesus was going about appearing before his disciples with a fake body and deceiving them to touch and feel it as if it's the original grin. That's a big scam only inspired by false doctrine from the stable of Jehovah's False Witnesses.

Thanks you.

Every denomination in Christian's Christianities follows one bizarre leader or the other. Leave the people alone to their dogmas and interpretation. What amazes me about them is the claim that they are only people who are serving God correctly. If Christianity has allowed for violence this group would be worse than Islamic fundamentalists.

The Scripture above summarises everything!

1. A question to ask them is: where is the Body of Jesus?
2. If Jesus body was nailed to the cross, was his Spirit body nailed too?

They have no answers to the questions.

If they say Jesus body is still in the ground and rotten, then it will go against the prophecies of David that Jesus body won't see corruption.

Psalm 16:10 (KJV)
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

For the second question, if they say Jesus spirit also had the nail marks, then what they are basically saying is that if a member of their phantom 144,000 is crippled today, his spirit is automatically crippled as well. grin

Unfortunately, the Watchtower Organisation has done all the reasoning for them and so they cannot independently think outside what they have been programmed with.

Before we even talk about Jesus resurrected bodily or not, we must first address the illogical reasoning of JWs about the person sent by God.

This is what I'm still trying to get from them since.

They claim, the person sent doesn't have anything divine in him just pure human like you and I.

Then, isn't something must retain from his divine nature why he became human

Also, since Jesus is pure human like everyone else in the world, and NOTHING exists in human after death according to them.

What then from Jesus, God resurrected when the body wasn't taking back?

So, looking at it from this angle, you can see that according to their logic, God didn't send anybody no God resurrected anybody.

Joh 2:19  Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Joh 2:20  Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
Joh 2:21  But he spake of the temple of his body.

Joh 10:17  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
Joh 10:18  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

The highlight shows you are the most deluded person on this thread sorry to say.

Spiritual body doesn't have Flesh, but your silly self still claim Jesus resurrected in a spiritual or spirit body with fLESH and bone. You are seriously confused. LIARS contradict themselves just as you just did.

Now that's not even where am going: Mr man as per your analysis, if Jesus resurrected in the SAME BODY, why did one has blood and the other doesn't ?

Am waiting for your answer , hehehehehe

Blind bat, did you read the OP at all?

You say spiritual body doesn't have flesh and that Jesus resurrected in a spiritual body. Are you blind that you didn't see Jesus saying he had flesh and bones after resurrecting in his spiritual body?

Luke 24:39 (KJV)
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

As per your question, it only shows you didn't read the OP or your JW doctrine blinded you from seeing that a spiritual body can't have blood because that would mean it's still a natural body. The blood goes away after death because it is the life of the flesh of the natural body. The life of the flesh of a spiritual body comes from the spirit. That's why Job said he will see God in his flesh.

Job 19:26
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:

This process that flesh can inherit the kingdom of heaven but not flesh with blood.

You are an epic failure.

Spirit of man is the breath of life.

If spirit of man is a person, does it mean the person of Jesus ascend to heaven the day he die ? Luke 23:46

Two of you are flawed In your analysis , really pathetic

Sorry dude, he didn't ascend to heaven the day he died. The Bible said his soul went to hell but was not left there cos he resurrected.

You haven't shown any flaw in the OP, you are just asking dumb questions.

1 Corinthians 15:44
it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

Paul said there's a spiritual and a natural body. If both contain the same components, then there won't be any need for then to go by different names. But since they are similar in certain ways and also different in certain ways, then we see the need for having different names. One has blood while the other doesn't

All those who were resurrected back to life in the Bible came back with their natural body which had blood which is the life of the flesh cos they had to live on. Example is Lazarus. And thats why they all later died. But Jesus resurrected in a spiritual body which didn't have blood, and that is the same kind of body we will resurrect in and never be prone to death again.

1 Corinthians 15:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

According to you, you expect Jesus to resurrect a natural man again. That will still make him prone to death like Lazarus who came back a natural man and later died. When we christians resurrect, we are going to be as Jesus is, in a spiritual body which can never die again.

The natural body is prone to death, diseases sickness, while the spiritual body is not. If this difference is not enough to answer your question, then you are dumb for believing that Jesus resurrected in a natural body and will also resurrect his disciples in their natural body to face those flaws again. Can you see how dumb your reasoning is?

Your problem is that you lack understanding of the difference between the natural and the spiritual body. You even couldn't defend all your doctrines which the OP debunked here. All you've been doing is going about asking questions already answered by the OP. Read the OP again with a careful mind.

Spirit of man is the breath of life.

Cc: shadeyinka

Two of you are flawed In your analysis , really pathetic
1. If the spirit of man is the breath of life, is this breath the Physical breathing in and out?
2. Since God is a Spirit, what did He breath into man (Physical or Spiritual).

Your question:
If spirit of man is a person, does it mean the person of Jesus ascend to heaven the day he die ? Luke 23:46

1. Jesus preached to the spirits in "prison" who erred in the days of Noah
1Pet 3:19:
"By which also he went and preached to the spirits in prison;"

1Pet 4:6:
"For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit."
2. Is the Grave the same as Paradise? For if the spirit of man is just breath of life, as soon as the Thief died he should be in the grave and not paradise!
Luk 23:43:
"And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, To day shall you be with me in paradise."
Jesus said: to day NOT on the day of Resurection!
3. Did Paul Physically or Spiritually get caught in Paradise? If it was spiritually, with which ear did he hear those unspeakable words?
2Cor 12:4:
"How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter."

Same with John of the book of Revelation:
Rev 1:10-11:
"I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
With which ear or eyes did he see and hear the Revelation of things to come?

4. The person of Jesus went to the place "prison or hell" where disobedient souls as far back as the days of Noah were kept AND preached to them.

If they (these spirits) were unconscious, how come they could hear?
And if you (assume these spirits are angels) how did Jesus preach to them for He is supposed to be unconscious?

I have answered your question above even what you asked. Would you kindly answer mine (you are prone to side-stepping Questions to raise other issues to bury the asked questions).

I am so amazed that you didn't understand this script

Luke 24:39 (KJV)
39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

The Scripture above summarises everything!

1. A question to ask them is: where is the Body of Jesus?
2. If Jesus body was nailed to the cross, was his Spirit body nailed too?

You (JW) say Jesus was Resurected Spiritually and not Physically:
The question I ask then follows: if Jesus spirit materialized like angels do (as taught in https://www.jw.org/en/bible-teachings/questions/jesus-body/) when they come to the earth where is the physical body of Jesus?

Since his body was that which was nailed, how come Jesus spirit body bore the marks of Crucifixion? Don't tell me it is to boost the faith of Thomas

Jesus categorically said that he isn't a spirit but real flesh and bones.

EXACTLY, these guys are mentally lazy. They don't read anything outside their publication which they memorise. They are all in mental captivity. the GB thinks for them. The other day I was asking one of them if had ever read the bible all by himself without any other material, she was sincere enough to say no. Another said even if one reads, one cannot understand. Haba! God will write to me what I can't understand?
