I do have night sleep 3 times a week. Everyone's blood in Nigeria has already risen. The number of hypertensive patients in Nigeria has increased since the current government took over even with constant night sleep.

Hehehehehe very true man.

What platform do you use in writing and publishing your books online?

Do you mind giving a detailed breakdown?
You don't need a platform to write. You need an app or software to type your books (MS Word or any text pad).

For publishing, there are too many places to publish. The number 1 is Amazon's KDP and the number 2 is your personal website just like Joe Clef's own here https://shop.wetclef.com or an aggregator like PublishDrive or Draft2Digital to help publish to hundreds of other US and UK book stores.

Talking of platform to write, I do use Nairaland and my forum. A few days ago, I converted 3 of my threads to a book and it's 180+ pages worth of content. The kindle is $9.99 while the paperback is $19.99. It's already selling 2 — 5 copies a day on Amazon without promo or ads.

So, what you use in writing is not a big deal. The big deal is: does your type of book have people who are hungry and willing to buy? Do you know the right keywords to use? Do you have a cool cover designer? Is your book description copywriters' certified? What I mean is: is your description enticing?

The initial stage of this business is tough without a mentor, but if you scale through on your own, you have scaled through forever. Sadly, getting a mentor in this business is not cheap. I have declined mentoring lots of people because of time. I just tell them to use YouTube and Google.

Wow!!! I will like to see those books if you don't mind.
I have vowed to keep my books away from people who know me. That is the fastest way for your account to be terminated.

The reason I flash Lasticle and other books on NL is because those books are for my Nigerian audience. They are not on Amazon with those same names and titles.

I may give this publishing a trial again.

Did a photo publishing of it before, only earned cents and man gave up. grin
The initial stage is frustrating, but the moment you pass it and start seeing real results, you'll be addicted for life.

But how does one pass the "initial stage" when the books aren't attracting views. Years after publishing and the cents I earned then, I'm not receiving anything from the publications again.

You attract views and sales by writing on profitable niches. You have to niche-down. After that, you need to learn about keyword research. With the internet, all you need is at your finger tip.

You're right. Though, I wasn't planning to change — just to analyze. I prefer offending than impressing. Humans are the last species on earth anyone should impress. Whatever you do, dem go knack you something.

Someone has to slave in the morning so that you can do your writing in the night.

I don't play with sleep, but I don't sleep when others are sleeping. I always sleep for 7 — 9 hours a day. With good time management, you can sleep for even 12 hours and still have lots of spare time to do great things. You can only achieve this if you can make money while you sleep.

Pls elaborate on "profitable keywords".
In your opinion would you consider a FB group to be a good platform to market EBooks.
Lastly, I noticed u emphasized on amazon KDP, are there other equally good sites or platform to sell the e-books .
PLS extensive explanation would be highly appreciated. THE LONGER THE BETTER

1. Explaining profitable keywords could take more than writing a new book. Keywords are the phrases Amazon buyers are typing inside Amazon search bar to find the book they are looking for. If lots of people are searching for "memory improvement" and at the same time, the top 6-10 books of that keyword has less than 50000 - 90000 ABSR and the number of competitors / books is below 1000, then it's profitable. The more you know about profitable keywords, the more you refine what you consider profitable.

2. Your clients will be mostly whites, so if you can bring them together in an FB group, then good. For me, I hardly use Facebook let alone know how FB groups work. So, I can't advise on what I don't know much about. Building an email list is what I know.

3. Amazon's KDP is the best place because they hold more than 80% share of the book business around the world. If you don't like money, then use Okadabook as an alternative. You'll make 200 Naira there in 2 months.

If you want to be great in what you do, learn to be awake when everyone is asleep and get started.

When everyone is asleep, I wake and do push ups. When everyone is sleep, I wake, switch on the computer and learn or switch on my phone and write a book.

I'm currently writing a book tonight on memory improvement. Before everyone wakes, I'll be half way or done with it. It's something I already know, so writing about it is easy.

When you don't depend on jobs, you have the freedom to be awake or asleep at any given time you want. This is the kind of freedom I want for every Nigerian — not slavery.

I just started writing a few minutes ago. That is the rough sketch of the book below. By August, the book will be busy raking in cash on Amazon, Apple, Barnes & Nobles, and other book stores and libraries across the globe.

As I always say, making money is easy, but being disciplined and focus is hard.
ilike your motivational words.
I would like to write a book.
But i prefer hiring a writer and telling him what i want, while he writes.
How much will it cost me,and how much gain can i make from it excluding the fame.
I await your reply
thanks

You'd like? Great.

Hiring? Better. The most productive people are those who outsource like Thomas Edison.

It depends on the ghostwriting company you use. Please, don't hire a Nigerian who knows about KDP to write for you. He will publish that same book with a different cover and different title.

Most of them are insincere freelancers. Use foreign writers from Upwork, TheUrbanWriters, EwriterSolutions, and many more.

Do some Google search and you'll find different companies and their reviews on how good they are.

The cost is based on how technical your topic is and the length of the book. Each company charges differently. So, keep $200+ for a start.

If you want to use a cheap Naija Freelancer, (I don't mean any insult), you may regret it at last. Though, not all of them are bad. The bad ones have ruined the reputation of the good ones.

You can only make it in the business if you master keyword research and finding profitable niches and having a cool book cover + description. Don't panic yet, you can make it as long as you are dedicated.

It took me 2 years of studying the industry before I was confident that I finally understood how it works. With a mentor, it may take you only 1 — 2 months.

Without a mentor, you're going to be overwhelmed with information overload as you learn yourself because all you need is on Google and on YouTube and you're going to be overwhelmed if you are not careful.

As for me, I have mentored some people, but now, I'm on break. Just me, myself, and I.

To those who don't know what this is all about, let me briefly explain. It's about writing books and making money ($, £, and €) while you sleep. Below is a screenshot of another of my new KDP account with just 2 books. No promo, no email list. Just publish and go. Organic sales only.

So, I went to sleep at 5 AM and woke at 12 PM, then checked one new KDP account and it has sold 4 ebooks and each is $9.99. Therefore, I made $39.96 (14,000 Naira) while I was asleep.

Remember, if you're smart in the business, you can have as many accounts as you want as long as you have different computers. The key is quality books, great profitable keywords, amazing book covers, catchy descriptions, and write more books or hire a ghostwriter. Then be dedicated.
