u may be missing the point here. Cattle drovers have caused bloodshed and confrontation with farmers, motorists and home owners....so nomadic cattle rearing should be seen as a social ill and banned. Its not a cultural heritage at all....its just an obsolete way of doing things. Do u suggest that we also put the almijiri beggers on the passport since its a culture in the north?

We black folks are not moving forward because we celebrate backward things

Dulce Bellum Inexpertis-A Latin expression meaning:"WAR IS SWEET TO THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER FOUGHT."

Originally written by Pindar, ancient Greek poet from Thebes, this phrase was made famous by Erasmus as the title of his meditation on the subject of war.

With all this demonic yeye looking picture on the pages of the passport why won't they deny Visa

Let's leave it plain

Same way there is Arabic writing in the Nigeria Army logo and the Naira notes

Nigeria is in perilous time so everyone has to be on alert

Actually I'll rather rephrase it that may God continue to enable each individual to use their brains and not willingly outsource it to lesser rational people no matter the god-of-man he appears to be

More open with what exactly?

We need to learn to call a spade a spade when necessary. Sule is a stupid slowpoke that is unfit to be called a man of God. As a people, we should come together to collectively shame him for his bigotry and divisive antics. We should never allow fools like him lead national discourse because they will burn down the unity of the country.

AllenSpencer:

You said it all.

Majority dont appreciate peace.

Suleiman misfired. He really messed up with his passport/herdsmen tweet....However, he speaks the opinion of a lot of people. He speaks what many men in his position are scared of voicing out.

Do herdsmen cause trouble in Nigeria? Yes they do...Fulani herdsmen and their backers do not just cause trouble, they are trouble themselves.

Is the Nigerian federal govt. addressing the security issues posed by herdsmen? No, they are not. Buhari’s government is part of the herdsmen issues. It’s silence and inaction has made many paranoid.

How many herdsmen causing troubles have been arrested and prosecuted?

Has there been any issue of criminal Fulani herdsmen been arrested and dubiously been released without prosecution? Somebody should answer that.

The Nigerian army seem to respond like lightening when people appear frustrated and attempt to retaliate against the herdsmen. It happened in Enugu state when some youths were arrested and detained by the 82 division of Nigerian army when they tried responding to herdsmen threats.

The real issue confronting Nigeria should not be eclipsed by Suleiman’s apparent blunder. Fulani herdsmen and their cattle are big issue in Nigeria. Suspicion of Fulani agenda by the federal government is a big issue. Suspicions of the military support to a group of people who leave their states to camp in the forests of southern Nigeria is a major concern.

The Nigerian police can arrest a group of boys gathered together at a corner, football match viewing centre etc but a group of suspicious strangers who camp in the forest far away from their homes are not bothered by the security agents.
Every now and then, we hear or read of helicopters making deliveries to these group of people...whether these are true or not, it deserves investigations.

The new passport and the cultural portrayals of various or one ethnic group is not the problem. The issue is the silence of the authorities to respond, take action and address the security concerns of the people.

One day, somebody somewhere or a group of people will get very frustrated and very suicidal and take action that will rewrite Nigeria’s history.
