Sofiane Feghouli had given Algeria a 1-0 lead in the first half before Jonathan Kodjia equalised for Ivory Coast in the second half as the match eventually ended 1-1 after 120 minutes. However, the North Africans defeated the West Africans 4-3 on penalties to qualify for the semi-final, where they will take on the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday. Reacting, Drogba said that he was proud with Ivory Coast national team despite their defeat to Algeria. The Chelsea legend tweeted: “Shots on goal do not always reflect the quality of a player. I’m proud of you, my younger brothers. “Proud of my country, proud of our two stars. It goes up it goes down we’re together, that’s the Ivory ������ Coast. Let’s get it together �������� tomorrow.”

The Ivorians performed very well in this tournament no doubt... Yesterday, The Tunisians bids The Madagascar goodbye.. For the first time as human in this tournament, I had the same feelings the Egyptians had when Nigeria defeated South Africa  .. In my opinion they have overstayed their welcome...All their class that came to the tournament were at home watching from TV.. 7 Likes |

This penalty thing is not easy especially after 120 mins. The pressure , the crowd , the fear of loosing a spot kick etc. When you score a goal in a penalty shoot out you feel relieved . 3 Likes |
