You can get G Suite by registering at gsuite.google.com, the price for the basic plan is $6 per month, and you have up to 20 custom emails and more business features.

There are fears in certain quarters about Blogger blog getting deleted impromptu, and you waking up, your blog is gone!

But I have also seen such happening to selfhosted WordPress blogs, been suspended by host impromptu, too.

So, it behoves on the blogger to thread with caution and make sure you abide by the rules. cool

Anyways, we are not running on the free gmail (Google account), as we run on G Suite Enterprise account, which is equivalent of Selfhosted WordPress or what I call Blogger VIP!

It has some edge over Free Google accounts, for instance, our Google+ account is still very much working grin
I might try this but want to know what's the difference between Blogger on Gsuite and the regular Blogger everyone has access to?

one of my most important site is on blogger but am considering moving it to wordpress because of features and ease of doing somethings... so does this Blogger VIP have plugins etc or what's the difference I might just pay for the Gsuite

The Blogger features remain same, but G Suite account have preference in dealings with Google. First, you get a 24hrs dedicated line to reach Google for any help and when you apply for any service with your G Suite custom email, you get swift response.

It should interest you to know that my domain name is also hosted by Google Domains, even at a time the service was still in beta, and open only to US residence. I simply applied as a beta tester with my G Suite account and was approved. I then paid with Payoneer as the only restriction then was that you must have a US issued card.

G Suite is so cool, besides Google will see you as a business, not a spammer. And can never delete a blogger blog running on G Suite, unless a severe issue.

If you are running to WordPress thinking there is a magic plugin that will skyrocket your traffic, you'd be dissappointed.

did you see me mention traffic here?

I've been using blogger on one of my sites since 2013, the rest are on wordpress. so I've seen the best of both sides.

I thought there's something spectacular on the supposed VIP blogger as you claimed, unfortunately nothing.

so am staying, also don't assume everyone who wants to switch us looking for traffic...

The purpose is to serve as a pointer to newbie bloggers, that moving to WordPress doesn't guarantee traffic.

I know some bloggers that moved to WordPress based on recommendation that it enhances traffic, but the reality is that the site's traffic actually went down.

The above mentioned blog averages 8m per month, and it is running on Blogger!

Whether your blog is running wordpress, blog, wiz, medium or any other software has zero impact on the traffic it generates.

Your traffic is a direct fruit of your marketing efforts.

If you are a beginner, have no idea on how to code and want to make money quick, go for WordPress.

Blogger is outdated.

WordPress won't automatically increase your SEO but there are plugins that can help to increase your SEO.

E.g W3 total cache: This plugin helps you to increase the speed of your website. When someone visits a particular page on your website, this plugin stores the cache of the images and I guess some CSS files in the visitors browser.

So when next the visitor checks that same page, it doesn't have to load the images completely.

You can also add a CDN to W3 total cache to increase your site speed.

Yoast/Rank Math: While writing articles, this plugins tell you how often you should stuff a keyword into your article. They also show you related articles you can link to in your new post.

If you delete an article, rank maths will automatically notify you to create an redirection. It also comes with a feature that helps you add the redirection with ease.

Jetpack Lazy load feature: If you have heavy images on your website, this feature is for you.

Jetpack Lazy load won't load all the pictures at once. As the user scrolls to where to image is, it loads the image quickly. This would make Google bot think your website is fast and also make visitors enjoy your website.

Schema: Google loves schema. Schema adds rich snippets to your website. You could Google what schema is.

If a Blogger expert and a WordPress expert open a blog in the same Niche on the same day, the WordPress blog would outrank the Blogger blog.

Recently, Google created a WordPress plugin that you can use to add things like Analytics, Google tag manager, Adsense and Google Search console on a WordPress website.

With this plugin, you can see the page that is making more money for you on Adsense, you can see the articles that are getting more views and how long each user spends on that particular article.

Only God knows if Google even remember they have a project called Blogger.

Bro, I can go on and on.

I used blogger from 2010 till 2016, right now I'm using WordPress and I know the difference.

Blogger isn't outdated, I don't know what you mean by that, but if you say WordPress plugins make things easier I do agree!

The bolded features are all possible on Blogger, Schema can be coded into the theme and with bootsrap the cache of blogger blog too is store after first visit and ensure faster rending on subsequent visits.

Like I said before, WordPress makes it easier and for Blogger you will have to code it.

As for those Yoast length, keyword suggestion and the likes, Google has grown above such manipulations.

See https://www.thehackernews.com/ and tell me what a Wordpress blog has over it?

Your talks are very important, but in my case no blogger or wordpress are good for blogging except YOU. I think the different is about your work if you are good in SEO and TEMPLATE DESIGN you can make blogging on blogger and make more money. Then if your seo and design are too poor doing blogging on wordpress is Wasting Time. I am remembering all of you that BLOGGER is a BEGINNER.

The hackernews has been around for ages. So right now, they enjoy domain authority, back links and direct visits from loyal readers.

If they had started recently, the story might be different.

Founded 2010, I know of WordPress blogs founded about that time too, but nowhere today!

this back and forth argument is of no use as it won't drive any point home.

As someone who uses both platforms for my different sites..My advice to anyone trying to start now, if you have just some money to start with go for wordpress of course the name and platform wordpress won't drive traffic to your site, neither would blogger. There are lots and lots of features on wordpress that are never present on Blogger. These features make your life super easier when compared with Blogger.

But if you don't have any money, just a little amount for domain then you can then go for Blogger.

Well said, but I still find blogger a more reliable platform, given that there is no cap in your bandwidth, you are able to accommodate any number of traffic, all at no cost! grin

yes, with respect to the aforementioned features Blogger stands out perfectly and I don't think it has any competitor in these fields.
