WHY I SHOULD BE EMPLOYED

I read with great interest the job description which requires amongst others, that an applicant should possess a degree certificate, excellent writing skills, exhibit good interpersonal relationships, be intelligent and creative, proficient with the use of Microsoft Office packages, and has at least two years of work experience. Subject to the aforementioned criteria, I believe I am an excellent fit for the job.

As a young and promising graduate of Political Science from one of the State Universities, my ability to speak, write, and listen in effective ways makes me the ideal candidate for the position. It goes without saying that good and effective communication skills are important factors to the success of any organization. This is because they are needed to give instructions, work in teams, discuss problems, request information, and to interact with clients and customers. I believe your organization need staffs that can think for themselves and solve problems. A good way to achieve that is to employ me because I can communicate my thoughts on how the processes of products and services can be improved.

As highlighted in my resume, I have good knowledge and proficiency on the usage of computer and modern office equipment. I know employers are always on the lookout for team members who leverage on available technologies to their fullest potentials. It has something to do with the fact that they work faster and smarter, as well as building agile and well-connected business environments. Employees with computer and technical skills are often better at managing a number of tasks; including commitment to assignments in challenging roles and increasing overall work performance.
I am a fast typist that can arrange contents neatly in Microsoft Word, create captivating presentations in PowerPoint, merge mail documents, build formulas in Excel, and create time-saving, productivity-enhancing rules in Microsoft Outlook, among other things. I can also manage several social media accounts, build brand voices for each one, read and analyze data, as well as run paid marketing campaigns for the growth of the organization.

My marketing abilities were judiciously employed during a previous stint at a soft drink company when I had to assist a customer sell some products which he had bought in large quantities and whose shelf life was almost due. For obvious reasons, finding buyers for the product was a challenging task but I was able to come up with a very effective approach that helped in selling the goods to willing buyers, albeit at a cut price. By so doing, the dealer was able to recoup the money spent on purchasing the goods from our company and also made little profit. My good reasoning ability, creativity, and being able to solve unforeseen problems without panicking endeared him to the company, and he remained a valuable distributor of our products.

Knowledge alone is not enough to solve problems, but the ability to complement them with systematic approaches makes the difference and helps organizations overcome perilous challenges. I see things differently and deal better with uncertainties. These qualities are what help me fuel big ideas, challenge my way of thinking, and open the door to new business opportunities. The chance to approach a task from a different perspective sparks critical thinking skills, which is integral to the success of this organization. This is what I possess, and a good reason why you should employ me.

As an experienced job seeker who has worked well and effectively in teams at my past jobs, I know I am a good fit for post because I have good interpersonal relationships and I am also a team player. Organizations are more likely to perform well when their people work efficiently as a team. Team work allows the members to apply individual perspectives, experience and skills to solve complex problems, as well as inventing new solutions and ideas that may be beyond the scope of one person.
Co-workers need affirmation and assurance from their colleagues that they value their skills, insight, and abilities. As evidenced at my previous jobs, my interpersonal skills and team spirit helped me to work harmoniously well with my colleagues which contributed to increased team and organizational productivity at my workplace. It also created an overall positive work environment. When I join this organization, I would bring that wealth of experience with me to achieve the goals of the organization.

I have confidence in my abilities and this makes me believe there is nothing too difficult for me to achieve. Self-confidence means believing in oneself, aiming high, and testing one's limits by stretching them. I do not give in to fear and I am not afraid to strike out on a new idea. I am bold enough to step out of my comfort zone, and get engaged in projects which are challenging. Even if you do not hire me, I would not be disappointed because I know it is only a matter of time before other organizations discover these abilities and clinch me.
I have a positive attitude that helps me cope more easily with my daily affairs in life. I am optimistic, motivated, resilient, and passionate about achieving my set goals. With me as your employee, you will be having in your organization an individual who puts all of the aforementioned attributes into his everyday works and targets.

You can count on me to get the job done because I am flexible and I equally possess the ability to adapt to changing work conditions, which helps to improve the efficiency of business. Reputable organizations like this need workers who are able to anticipate changes and do not panic when things do not go according to plan; workers who do not follow the conventional practices, but chose to think outside the box. The fact that I can also manage multiple priorities and tasks, which is a valuable trait that this organization needs, makes me a better candidate for your vacancy.

The founder of Microsoft Corporation, Bill Gates, once said "Take our best 20 people away, and I will tell you that Microsoft would become an unimportant company". This is because he knows the importance of the best employees to the success of any organization. You should employ me not only because I am qualified for the position, but because I am truly capable of performing this job effectively to your admiration and to the advancement of your organization. Thank you.

Why I should be employed
Why I should be employed
Every day we jump at different kinds of race to achieve meaningful success. Such is the nature of human ambition but putting ability into context, it is not every man that sustain momentum to reach a specified goal. I am one of the people who, through experiencing adversity, and then overcoming challenges as a self employed youth became my true self: an amazing problem solver. I went through a rough period and learned a lot about the Nigerian labor market. I got to understand what it means to handle difficult situations. How to not fold under pressure rather propel and spread beyond set backs. I have learnt to take calculated risks by investing in foresight. This is not as a result of over confidence but because I want to stand out from the crowd. To me I believe it is obvious there is usually not much substantial profit where risk isn't involved.
As a currently employed graduate hoping to gain more work experience while contributing my problem solving skills to other people's establishment, I will love to narrate what I can do. During my troublous years of being both hungry and unemployed, I had a canvas whose sole could boast of adventure my eyes have seen. I trek from my house every morning, handing out my CV and resume like hand bills to various companies. It was not meant to be a futile endeavor but no one sent an acknowledgement mail not to talk of calling. It got to a point I thought my phone was faulty. Had to sell it to eat then I got a smaller phone. It was at that point I realized I sold the phone because of hunger. Hunger is a terrible thing! It can strangle the ability to think straight and become desperate.
Through my trails and travails, I went to a primary school to apply for a teaching position. I thought to myself, "I am a graduate, this school will be easy to get". A part of me also said "have you ever been a teacher apart from your NYSC years where all you did was have fun with fellow corpers and teach students how to march?" I was welcomed and asked by the principal to take a sit, he asked of my qualifications and immediately called one of his staff to arrange a class in order to test my teaching capabilities. Meanwhile I had met a man in his late fourties who briefly greeted and directed me at the school entrance while discussing politics. I later got to realize that the staff who was being addressed as principal was not actually the proprietor.
Then the euphoria of chance came and soon mixed with the anticipation of meeting up to standard. Teaching learners who are kids? Something I did not prepare for! Got to the class and my heart started beating like there was a thousand drums dancing in celebration of my impending drama. I started stammering in the presence of the kids and the two representatives of the management even though I was able to pick up my explanations towards the end of test. Of course I have a second class upper division in Plant biology but I could not root and water those kids appropriately at that moment. This would be referenced as stage fright but to me, three facts emerged from this experience.
1. Preparing is a sequel to success. If I had prepared, my perfection of the teaching practice would have been unique and smooth.
2. Impression determines approach. The proprietor was not the principal but you have to come through the principal. The psychology behind this is; there is proper scrutiny by the proprietor who is unknown to prospective employee, a job seeker who is rude or irresponsible could easily be identified and dismissed.
3. We grow through experience. Had I been practicing consistently, stage fright would have been a walk-over
4. Trading human resource for goals requires critical thinking outside a circle. (And this is why I saved my three months salary to set up a business)
To my utmost surprise, what I considered abismal or below par performance of mine: I still got the job but couldn't find it challenging enough to expand my experience. That was why I had to leave after three months for where I am currently. I am self employed through cuniculture. I know you may not be familiar with the word but it means raring of rabbit. In this agricultural practice, we breed and raise domestic rabbits as livestock for their meat, fur, or wool. When I began this business in 2017, many laughed at me. They said look at a graduate that has refused to go and look for a befitting job. I would laugh because few people know how fertilie and productive rabbits can be. Rabbit's rapid reproductive cycle comes with varieties of fast growing rabbit like Dutch gray, flemish giant, hyla, chinchilla, New Zealand white, California and english spot. Female Rabbits which is called Doe gives birth up to 7 times annually with 7 to 12 kits each time translating to up to 49 kits in 1 year.

I began my rabbit farm with just 3 male rabbit and 8 female rabbits all totalling 11. I would let you guess how much I have now... Even tho I began with 11 rabbit I have more than three colonies now this is because I was prepared and just like I have noted before, preparation is sequel to success. I rare rabbits majorly for food and this was as a result of my area which is surrounded by different kinds of bar and eatery. '' Night life is never complete without a taste of rabbit meat". When you grill rabbit meat properly with salt, right quantity of pepper, ginger, groudnut oil and seasoning, the aroma smells different and inviting than grilled fish which is most common. People who wants to stay unique and classy goes for the best no matter how much the product cost. It's is of a fact that rabbit meat which is white meat is highly nutritious, has low-fat and its low-cholesterol meat
I am working towards raring rabbit not only for meat. In the nearest future, I hope to expand to extracting its fur and wool. Rabbit by products are also used in the laboratory because their waste and urine are used as a good source of organic manure in gardens and backyard farms also for other research purposes. I am also an employer of Labour and this is as a result of rabbit value chain.
I have a Bachelors in Plant Biology, Senior School Certificate and First School Leaving Certificate. I have also served my Fatherland, Nigeria, for a whole year. I have been privileged to be a teacher and impart knowledge.
I have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and excel. I have quite an amazing talent of thriving under little or no monitoring with access to limited funding. I can also be 87% convincing and that is my weekness which I hope to improve on. I said 87% because the remaining 13% is meant to put myself above the major discussion. With this I believe it's worth the consideration of being employed. I believe I should be employed by your well defined establishment

Wow!!!
This is amazing by a Nigerian lady.
Madam ifyalways you're a rare gem. You are a light to humanity sincerely. Because unlike most Nigerians, you'd used one foundation name to carry out this gesture thereby using it to gain attention from some foreign donor agencies and politicians.

Thank you for doing just what the Bible instructed. God bless you.

Imagine if the rich in our society including organizations and companies will provide such good platform to unemployed/underemployed youths, crime and immortality will be reduced in our societies because our youth will be intellectually engaged thereby increasing positivity in them.

As a typical northerner serving in one of the southwestern states my colleagues from South will always say "Barii22 you don't have problem getting employed because you are from the north" I have been trying to convince them that it is not like that, their main reason is that "there's not more educated people in the north therefore it is very easy to get job". The claim is no longer true, rightNow my fellow southerners have advantage in getting a job than a northerner because of the presence of companies where you can temporarily work before getting your desired job. Till now I'm still in search of job.

Why I Should Be Employed

My qualifications and Skills

I'm Mathematics education graduate from my state University, I've served as a classroom teacher
during my teaching practice in level 300. I've also served as a teacher during my service In Ondo State, I'm a computer literate, I've learned and practiced blogging also during my service but immediately after I left I left service the website crashed because we don't have enough network service to continue my blogging career. I'm very competitive, tolerant, consistent and passionate and always dedicated to whatever I'm doing. There was a time I contemplated furthering my education thinking it will bring me closer to getting a job but my financial capacity wont afford that.

My Job Search Experiences

Immediately after my service in December 2017 I thought it will be easy getting a job, especially when my brother living in the city called me telling me to send him my copy of credentials that his oga who is a DSS officer asked him to bring someone with a degree, I immediately photocopied my papers update my CV and went to the city and deliver the papers myself, the officer give me assurance that he will do his best and that I will be called for a Cbt test one week later. Later I had the news that the CBT has already been conducted, that is the end of my first post NYSC job search. After that I've been applying of one job or another till when FRSC started their recruitment which I also participated up to the last interview stage, unfortunately my name didn't make the final list. Actually I've dreamed big on that FRSC job because one big Abuja politician has promised to help me through, plus I've passed all the subsequent stages to the last one. Till now I've been applying online vacancies Npower, prison service recruitment, federal fire service recruitment, NGO's, companies and every little opportunity I thought will bring me closer to getting job. For now, I don't have any connections that can fetch me job.

My Extra Skills

To me, not only computer skill is needed someone needs to update his CV with entrepreneurial skills to show that he is not a lazy youth. I'm computer literate and I also possess some other skills apart from computer education

Being raised in the rural area I'm technically a farmer, I have been going to farm since my childhood till now, if you are ready to employ me knows that you are employing an experienced farmer in case my knowledge is needed in that area and also I can manage your farm.

Though I didn't mentioned it earlier I've been working with a logistics transporter. I served as a motor boi to a truck driver and also manages all the cash involving the business as the only educated folk among the workers. Through that I've traveled to the difference states in the country, I've also learned a lot about transport/Logistics business and I hope to start my own Transport company in the future. I got many experiences interacting with different set of merchants, people of different background, religion and tribe and I've also learned some basic things about market. If you have a transport company I'm willing to work as a manager or any other relevant position.

I can also manage office works, I can work with any company provides that i will be employed with my papers. I can also work with any NGO for the betterment of my society.

My Ambition

I'm in need of job for sure but my main ambition for now is to get a Logistics/Transportation Company that can employ me to work as a manager or any other relevant position, my plan is to gain more knowledge about the business and be saving to set up my own logistics company in the future, I want be the employer in the future not employee.

Conclusion

I've been a hard working guy throughout my school days, I've also been hard working all rough my working experiences my secret is, whatever I'm doing I want be the best. If you're willing to employ me knows that I will never disappoint you, I will be accountable and transparent on whatever task I'm executing.

Finally I should say a big thanks to you madam ifyalways for giving me this opportunity to express myself, more grease to your elbow. To my fellow job seekers, the future is bright.

Thanks

WHY I SHOULD BE EMPLOYED
Every nation or group of nations has its own tale to tell. Knowledge of the trials and struggles is necessary to all who would comprehend the problems, perils, challenges, and opportunities which confront us today – Winston Churchill. Going by this saying, I would admit I have had my fair share of tales, but rather than appeal to sympathy and emotions I would try my best to convince and make a statement for myself on why I am the most suitable person to be given an employment opportunity at this time.

With a Bachelors degree (honours) in Health Education and a mind willing to achieve success, I believe I am an asset of immeasurable value to any employer. I have been able to serve in various capacities previously, a wide range of knowledge in different sphere of socio and economic space. I am a highly enthusiastic professional with an exceptional track record of improving processes, client interface experience and significantly reducing costs. I have also been able to develop over time a proven ability to ensure that a distinct competitive advantage is retained by securing the best processes, quality, and service terms. I have also been able to develop myself enough to maintain a good balance between work and social life, a factor which helps in keeping and maintaining stable mental health which in return foster a good relationship between me and co-workers. A team player who understands that more can be achieved when everyone works in perfect synchrony.

I have garnered a few years of work experience as a customer relations officer and, my experience in providing excellent customer service has equipped me with skills that help me achieve and exceed customer expectations. I have assisted all types of customer in all types of settings; this has brought to me the realization that acquiring and maintaining loyal repeat business as well as spreading the word of your business through these loyal patrons is the utmost importance in every company. I have been able to implement improvements and monitored changes in line with internal and external quality standards, supervised acquisitions, estimations and cost analysis of materials and services; I have also been able to identify up-sell opportunities to drive up additional revenues, exceed customer expectations and provide feedback to management. All of these are only but a few of more that I can achieve when given the opportunity to work in a conducive environment with appropriate motivation.

I also have an unwavering interest in inter-personal relations, research, analytical knowledge, and intelligence gathering skills. My unending quest for knowledge and ousting my previous record sets has helped me to develop an inquisitive and creative mind through reading books and journals, as well as taking refresher courses when the opportunity arises. This is in lieu of the fact that knowledge is unending, and as the saying goes ‘you start dying the day you stop learning.’

I am also Information Technology savvy as the world is unarguably a global village and is evolving due to the impact of the internet. Things cannot be done in a monotonous way as more can be achieved with the aid of information tools available in this dispensation. I possess a highly satisfactory proficiency in the usage of Microsoft Office tools; Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

My proven success in achieving sales targets along with my experience in delivering seamless customer services will contribute immensely to the success of any organization that gives me an opportunity to serve, as keeping and increasing existing customer base has an unarguable effect on the increase of the productivity and gains of such company. I must, however, state as well that customer service is not the only role in which I can serve perfectly as I am a quick learner who can perform very well in any given role and also, I am highly committed and self-motivated. A decision-maker with an ability to perform optimally, even with little or no supervision. I also have eyes for details, I have also been able to develop a top-notch time management skill which makes me deadline oriented.
With all the aforementioned, I believe convincingly that the range of intelligence, knowledge, and experience I possess will enable me to contribute immensely to the success of any organization.

I would like to round up with a quote from Tony Elumelu which he shared earlier this year while talking about his early days as a striving young graduate; “They took a chance on me by appointing me . . . after an incredibly short time . . ., I was lucky as well as deserving.” giving credit to his bosses who gave him an opportunity. With same vigour I can assure; if given an opportunity at employment not to disappoint the trust and chance given to me. More especially as opportunity given to me at this point will help to harness and fine-tune my existing potential.

So the question is.. what makes me (akalia) stand out in the midst of all these job seekers? So what really puts me in good stead to qualify for a job? First off, I like to emphatically stress on a couple of points.

KEEN INTERESTS

(1) I am not just seeking employment opportunity.

(2) My course of study back in the higher institution was applied microbiology. I did well for myself back in the days as my academic track record bears a satisfactory testament.

EXPERIENCE

(1) I wield a considerable experience as a freelance writer and an indie author, having written for different outsourcing writing agents in the time past. I also have three ebooks that are live on Amazon KDP to my credit.

(2) Post tertiary education life has also giving me the opportunity to work with my educational qualification as a quality assurance officer in one of the foremost beverage companies in the country.

STRENGHTS & COMPTENCE

(1) A good team player
(2) Teachable & Learn-able

(5) IT savvy

CONCLUSION

Based on the aforementioned parameters above, I strongly believe these points are the reasons why I Stand out and should be employed when the right opportunity presents itself.

Why I should be employed.

I have been opportune to attain the basic educational qualifications needed for a white collar job. Going through school was one big hassle, only determination and the prize ahead kept me going.
I hold a bachelor's degree in educational Management from the university of ilorin. I didn't get the dream 1st class but ended up with a 2.1,albeit a healthy 4.1 CGPA.
Since I'm in the education sector, I have steadily tried to become a better professional with each passing time. During my year 3, I had my first foray into teaching cum working environment via what they call teaching practice. That showed me the dynamics and challenges of teaching and education as a whole. I completed the program a better person-all round, and also left the students better. I was a bit computer savvy, so I impacted them in few ways like;

Infusing audiovisuals.
Ms word skills.
Sourcing and fully utilizing Google, e.t.c

Fast forward to post NYSC, I had a few stints in some places, but none matched what I truly desired in terms if finances and growth. I have always believed in continuous andnever ending education, so I sought to improve myself. First, my info technology skills needed upgrade big time. I resorted to self help and learning accounting packages like.
EXCEL,
ERP,
POWERPOINT.
I am far from mastery, but at least I can manipulate these packages to great effect. There are also programmes central to my core field which I am currently running. The Cambridges, IGCE's, and A' levels are programmes which have opened my eyes to new dimensions in education and student-teacher partnership. I am also registered with the Teachers registration council of Nigeria.
I have come to realise that no matter how much time and effort may go into these things, every chance for self improvement should be grabbed with both hands without thinking twice- at whatever cost.
Would I be willing to venture out of my field? Yes! Yes!! The goal is to be an all rounded, a Jack of all, and a master of all.Being a master goes beyond mere words or wishes, hence I have been preparing my self toward getting to such heights.

Entrepreneurship is a bright idea, but I believe in learning the ropes via paid employment and being answerable and responsible to an organization. That's why I will welcome this opportunity.
In today's highly competitive and profit driven society, I think you need a team filled with individuals who would give you value for money. Team members who possess noble qualities which I think I have.I am honest, hardworking and Time conscious. Ambitious yet loyal. I am an individual who does not entertain failure, yet does not get complacent about success.
I hope you consider my abilities sufficient for the role you seek to employ.

My post may not be up to 1000 but as you can see my own is unique and comprehensive, someone even copied my method. Anyway best wishes

I too wanted to post but didn't know what to type that could reach 1000 word. I must admit I have really learnt alot from what you all posted. I can memorize this and boldly walk in for any interview
