Super Eagles Defender, Semi Ajayi has joined English Championship side West Bromwich Albion from League One club Rotherham United.

The 25-year-old midfielder signed a four-year deal with the Baggies, becoming the third arrival at the Hawthorns this summer after the capture of Kenneth Zohor and Filip Krovinovic.

Semi Ajayi,Super Eagles and Rotherham United midfielder, has sealed a £1.3m deal (about N585m) to join former Premier League campaigners West Brom in the Sky Bet Championship.

Ajayi, who was impressing despite Rotherham’s relegation last term, was among Nigeria’s initial squad for the just-concluded 2019 Africa Cup of Nations before missing out of the final 23-man list.

We need more defenders in our SE, Leon and Troost are too error prone. I hope this ajayi will be on top of his game.

I wish him well this season, i'm sure under Slaven Bilic he can only get better. Ola Aina was also cut from making final squad a little while ago and look at Ola Aina now, I believe Semi can follow similar path.

Hopefully the talented British Nigerians (interestingly the South London ones) like Fikayo Tomori, Joe Aribo etc etc choose the Super Eagles also.

Semi isn't a defender. He is an attacking midfielder or a '10'. Rohr robbed us of the opportunity to watch this kid play at AFCON. Too many strikers and not a spot for an extra midfielder to make just 5; says alot about the man many ignorant fans in the country believe is a solid coach.
