Bro setting up a packaging business is not as easy as you thought, these are some of the process...
Extrusion Department: This is where you blow out your raw materials into desired nylons, thickness of the nylon varies due to the type of job you're producing, and also the nylon is colour less at this stage...

Ink Mixing Dept: This where you get various colours of ink, and do the mixing suitable for the job you're producing, e.g you're up for the production of a coca cola drink lable, hence you must have all the colours present on the drink lable...

Printing Department: This is where you proceed the extruded product(nylon) to, for inking... The appropriate inks would be printed on the nylons at this stage...

Lamination Dept: This where you proceed the printed product(nylon) to, for Lamination, tho not all jobs, but most jobs requires two different nylons to be Laminated together forming two layers e.g sachet milk, sachet tomato etc...

Slitting Dept: This is where you proceed the Laminated jobs to, for lengthwise cutting...
Can't list all here bro, too much... Still have the waste grinding, rewinding, maintenance, quality control and more and more and more...

Mind you, all these departments listed has various machines that functions differently for a successful production... And non of these machines price tags will you ever find at thousands of Naira grin...
That's for the production aspect,... Now who and who are to patronize you? A STANDARD MARKETING BOARD comes in... This sector is another company all by itself... Trust me the board members are the driver, more important than you the owner grin.. Meaning, if shit went wrong with them, then... There will be NO You

So what do you think sir

yeah i know it will be hard, i already have access to lease a government building just facing the road. i am seriously looking at the machines. l plan to invest 35m myself as starting capital.

but here is what is bothering me. if i start now, i definitely wont be the only one doing it here. i need to find competitive advantage, something that will make the business stand out. like sourcing for cheaper raw materials without quality compromise, and lower cost of production.

i have invested in so many failed business in the past. i understand this thing isnt something l can possibly do on my own. thats why i need people who have a deep understanding of how polythene works, especially the marketing part. i want to do some feasibility studies and see if it can pan out

35million Naira is really a huge capital to start a business in Nigeria... But trust me, that is really nothing when planning to set up a packaging company, the machines are too costly as you can see below...

You can check online for yourself

Professional operators would be needed to run those machines, also the generator required to power the machines is going to be of high voltages...

To be honest sir, you're really lucky to have such amount, why not consider some other lucrative businesses, have some few ideas, just no enough capital for me to bring it on...
But look at you, you're made, I jealous you o grin
