It's the US visa you can not apply for while visiting another country (e.g the UK) with a visitor's visa except in very rare/exceptional cases

Ok, thank you so much. But my mum applied for a US visa while visiting the UK in 2015, tho she's previously been to the US before in 2013. Thanks again.

Good morning all
It’s good to be back here, I actually applied as a 400l Student for a B1/B2 VISA in Abuja and had My interview on 5th September, 2018 and was denied, the truth is that I have no immigrant intent the reason I haven’t reapplied because I am not desperate to have it, just want to visit My Uncle and come back. I have been thinking of the best time to reapply as I would Be Graduating in October and should be Serving hopefully Apri/May, 2020. Would that be a good time for me to apply? At least I would have to visit and return to complete My Service Year

Step 1.
She should go to the Nigerian Immigration and have that Passport reported as lost.

Step 2
Send a mail to US Embassy reporting a missing passport with a valid US Visa.

Step 3
Apply for a replacement of the said Passport

Step 4
Go to Embassy and get modalities for Visa Re-issue

Step 1 & 2 are critical and urgent. May to August is too long a period. For all she knows, the said passport and visa has been used by criminals (majorly drug couriers) and she is the one being WANTED by authorities.

If I were a visa officer, I will approve a visa application by a first semester final year student ahead of both an "awaiting-corper" and a "serving-corper" because I for one believe it will be more difficult and painful for a final year student to jettison his/her academics compared to a Corper/awaiting-corper.

Meanwhile, I will also put a note and possibly an annotation on the approved application for the final year student to have a smooth POE experience only if the trip is made between that first semester and the break period between both semesters, and a tighter scrutiny should happen if travel is to be made anytime outside this period. I will even recommend the visa is cancelled outrightly at the POE if it's first usage is after one year of issuance or applicant's graduation from school, whichever comes first.

In essence, don't count much on "awaiting-NYSC" as ties to Nigeria, I'd rather you come up with something better from other considerable factors. Dig? What's your travel history like?

Get police report and swear an affidavit for the missing or stolen passport.

Get a replacement passport from Nigerian immigration

Reapply for a new US visa. Never heard of any such thing as replacement visa. It happened to my brother and he had to reapply for the visa as a new applicant.

Haba! Na wa for these your Visa terms. Anything that makes his visa to be approved automatically means he has successfully convinced the VO that he has no immigrant intend.
Why put those conditions on the visa? It means the vo is not convinced of his intentions and he/she shouldn’t approve it.
What if he travels within the one year likee you said , come back then finally use the Visa to Japa?
BTW, travel history is not really a criterion to get a B1/B2 visa.if you are able to convince the vo of your non immigrant intend, you are sure going to get it.
I got mine with Virgin Passport.

For your mind you think say you be "coded", abi? You can never like such visa conditions. You are as good as a "Pro" and travel history may not have been a big deal in your particular case, coupled with other variables you may have aced. You then think your application is in anyway like his? There's peculiarity in this thing.... Relax!

Thanks for your response. He isn't interested in relocating for now as he has a very good job which he isn't willing to quit.
Also, he wasn't implicated in the domestic violence issue as he lived in a different state,
while his wife and kids lived with his parents at the time.

Hello all,
Silent reader.

I got a successful visa interview . I scheduled for an interview after the dropbox was cancelled.

My observation; about 5 people ahead of me and one person immediately after me got the white paper.

My transcript;

VO- You got a Canadian Visa?
Me- Yes
VO- Are you also travelling to Canada
Me- Yes
VO- Are you connecting

Vo- is you husband in Canada?

Vo- you got children? Are you travelling alone?
VO- Do you intend giving birth later in the usa.

This forum actually gave me the confidence needed and above all i give all the glory to God.

Gracias

They gave them white paper. That means the embassy approved all their visa applications. Wow. Thought the rejection rate was high.
Omo make i start to prepare for renewal oh! My visa expires DEC. Dust don dey settle

This thread is no longer Active grin. What a pity!
Nigerians are now ditching the US for Canada and other European destinations. Most Nigerian celebrities and elites have suddenly switched to the UK for their summer vacation. See Linda Ikeji & family, Ay and family, etc.
USMissionNGRA should not mess with the most populous black nation on earth, otherwise you pay for it. The recent indiscriminate visa refusals to Nigerian citizens and frequent travellers is uncalled for. It is called 419 here - Advanced Fee Fraud.
Very soon, the US Airlines will start recording losses on the lucrative Nigerian routes and finally wind down operations. Shikena! grin

Unfortunately, USA is now tagged a high risk destination. On top of it, you have entered the trap of a Dictator as your ruler grin. Let's see how you guys fair in years to come. For now, I'm off to London on summer vacation, see you later grin
