How I visited Abu /kubanni Dam



I visited Abu /kubanni dam located at Samaru campus of the great Ahamdu Bello University Zaria

The Kubanni dam, popularly called ABU dam was constructed on RIver Kubanni Zaria, Nigeria in 1973.

The Kubanni dam, on which the entire community of the Ahmadu Bello. University and immediate environs depend for water supply

Our Dam in OAU too is dirty. Seems it's not only flood water that goes to the dam, perhaps domestic water is also sent to the dam. There they recycle everything and send it back.

That way there will always be water, even in the dry season when rainfall is low.

That dam you see is the only source of drinking water for ABU. there is a treatment plant close by.

The Dam is not new. It's been there for over 30 years. It was there when I graduated.
