dominique:
Poverty has done a number on some people's brains Sha. So she should have used them to inconvenience others abi? Some people will pack children and start looking to strangers to place them on their laps. If you refuse now, they'll start carrying face, some will be cursing. If you can afford to sit comfortably with your kids in a public bus, don't hesitate to do so. Both your children and the strangers in the bus deserve their comfort.

Rule of life:
Avoid people who worship poverty. They will envy you. They will be angry at your comfort. They will kill you.

Poverty is indeed a bastard......poverty has ruined some people's lives..
Some people as we speak are flying out of the country for the weekend and have paid for first class for all their kids......shameless people with miserable lives.

You can never satisfy everybody.

My type of person, I normally like that kind of lady.

What's the essence of having money if you cannot use it to buy yourself some comfort?

And even the comfort of other passengers too?

Different strokes for different folks indeed!!!

See them yabbing nonsense.

[quote author=GisterBlogger post=81123472]There was mild drama in a bus, last week, as a lady was criticized for allowing her two children sit comfortably inside a commercial bus.

However, another passenger defended the lady by saying there was nothing wrong in what she did since she could afford it, but one of the men insisted that THAT'S NOT THE PROPER WAY TO "PREPARE THE KIDS FOR FUTURE HARDSHIP"

the bolded words cracked my ribs
Nigeria my country

Hardship is not only some people's inheritance but also their rights. If that man luckily gets a car, na to remove back seat oooo so his children wont be comfortable.

The man only help to teach the kids to be very appreciative of their mum. they understand better the great effort mum put in making them comfortable. it is my prayer they repay mum in later years.

resilient in jumping on bus? nigerians always get it wrong, fixated on the wrong things. as a kid i was thoroughly house broken by my parents and boarding school. could do all chores etc. i looked down on some more privileged kids as lazy because they did not have any skill in ironing or folding clothes. meanwhile, my future inlaws r dad ran an it business that trained people in icsa. all of them were somehow involved in it. by the time we were out of uni, these kids all had ican, icsa etc. they could not clean house to save themselves, but those house cleaning skills did not matter. today all of them are well paid, high fliers in their industries while i can still do without househelp tongue tongue

if you are privileged,it should not be wasted teaching you irrelevant skills. mark zuckerbergs dad bought him a pc, not a mop.

You couldnt have said it better.

The time the so called hardworking kids spend in fecthing water, sweeping the compounds, washing clothes when technology could do all these things... Such child could spend the time in self development, learning a new language or musical instrument, or sports... While the hardworking ones of the less privileged brag on fetching water and sweeping .this is 2019 not 1950

life sha. we thank God. when i enter danfo, i am not bothered about arguing with conductor over change. it is not material to me. if bus breaks down, i get off an leave the guy to his n30 balance.

poverty\brokeness is cray ooo. even family will be up in arms on some of your choices.

three years ago, i embarked on a side hustle , and i started making plenty of money that i used to buy things i would ordinarily never have bought. interestingly, more and more opportunities just kept opening up. basically, it got to a point where i was confident of having extra money, and that reflected in my plans and spending habits and choices. but some people will still fight with me over my 'wastefullness'

Please brother what is the side hustle that was making you money. Abeg. Teach me how to fish
