i went to TLS Lagos V.I. but they simply said "its not in our hands, its completely on UKVI". once UKVI send any information they will immediately pass on to me.
i have opted for "Keep My Passport" service, they have not even asked me to submit the passport till now.
TLS said "once UKVI will advise them to collect passport from me, they will send e-mail to submit passport".
please let me know if any one have experience on this service "Keep My Passport". i have already received concluded email on 29th July.

Pls house, a little clarification is needed. I was refused Canada Visa for misinterpretation. I have learnt my lesson the hard way never to use agents for application. How does this affect my application for a UK Visa. Though I declared I was refused Canada visa in my application.
I got the Visa! Thanks to everyone that responded to my worry.

Years ago while on school picnic i used one in London and Wales , no security, no privacy, infact you take your stuff while going to have a shower because you are sharing a room with strangers.

The price tells you everything.

Whether it will fly remains to be seen.

My colleague used it for her visa application and she was granted a tourist visa.

From personal experience, they will never send refusal letter via email to you even if you use the "Keep My Passport" service. As a matter of fact, though ridiculous, a request for your passport does not guarantee a visa. They will only send a Passport Request email for you to receive ECO's decision.

It is for visa application purpose, if u understand my logic for the ECO, u ll thank me very well for sharing this idea.

I take your word for it but I will encourage anyone to travel all the way from Nigeria to use such accommodation,

It will not fly for everyone and it shows that you can hardly afford that trip.

Hmmm.....there is an unusually long delay now. I also used the keep my passport service and I waited 3 weeks after the application concluded mail was received before I was requested to submit my passport for the visa. I only picked up my visa last Thursday.

I do hope yours will not take as long...

Hello Justwise,

Just to correct/ clarify what you just said, Judicial review is permitted for tourist visa as well. During the Judicial review, the first step is the "Pre-action protocol" and if home office does not respond within 14 days to 1 month permission to proceed with claim for Judicial Review is lodged at the court and which must be done not later than 3 months after the Home Office’s initial decision.

I personally know 3 people who have gone through the Judicial review process and gotten their decision overturn. With two of them after the pre-action protocol was sent, home office ignored but after the solicitor filed an application for permission in court, home office now became aware that they were serious so they sent a consent letter to the solicitor for them to withdraw it from court and even paid part of the cost incurred by the applicant.

Usually I think in Africa we do not explore all the legal options when unfavourable decisions are made towards us. any this is just my experience of what I know.

" The pre-action protocol is the initial step in the Judicial review process". Google gives more details

Just my one cent

justwise:

Dude your solicitor is sending letter of reconsideration to the HomeOffice and not judicial review, anybody can do this and still get positive/negative result.

These solicitors will give you the impression that you can appeal visa refusal or go for Judicial review and you pay then they write letter of reconsideration.

You are wasting your money with solicitor because anybody can send a letter to immigration asking for reconsideration about seemly unfair visa refusal

You can't take the homeoffice to court for tourist visa refusal

They now send the refusal letter by mail to some people oo. When you receive a mail from them and is classified as "sensitive" then it is your refusal letter hhmm

Thank you so much for your contribution, one thing I noticed about the @justwise is he believes he knows all, and till now he has not come out to formally apologize for using the word misleading.

B4 now, held his person in high esteem, but from his attack on my post over this issue, felt really disappointed.

One thing we all need to know is we learn new things every day of our lives, and we will never stop learning. @justwise, I still demand that apology from you.

You don't know it all, learn, and stop attacking people's opinions over issues you know nothing about. It is well with you.

You definitely entitled to your view but i disagree with you, I still maintain my view on this, all these processes you detailed here are for immigration visa refusal.

Judicial review is not for non-immigration refusal, neither can you appeal a visiting visa refusal.

It is clear that you admit not your mistakes even when you are wrong in all ways, admit you don't know anything about this process and so disappointing, you still arguing with people with practical experience of this issues.

Anyways, thank God for platforms like this, it really brings out the real you...

no oga, there was no attachments with "concluded" e-mail. they simply wrote, "your application has been concluded and will shortly be dispatched, our service partner will contact you, dont go to V.A.C unless you are advised to go to V.A.C."
what i doubt is , this TLS guys have not submitted the application properly, because the staff at TLS is very much un-professional and untrained.
god know what will happen to my application.

sending enquiry on email will charge you GBP5.48 (one time charge only) after that replies are free. but you still have to call them after 2-3 days to escalate the case. but this customer care guys are helpless , they can simply put request for escalation, nothing else they can help you.
i have spent almost N20k for calling/e-mailing them.
