seriously? U guys really d0n't watch films attentively. M0S wasn't really abt clark being superman. It was abt Clark realising and c0ming to terms with what he was. He was just a farm boy being pulled into a fight he knew n0thing abt. He was forced into bec0ming superman, he didn't really decide to be it. He had doubts. Read into Martha's words again "be their hero, be their angel, be their m0nument [american symbol/boy scout], be what they want u to be, or be n0ne of it". He wasn't superman till he went and came bk fr0m exile in BvS. He was learning to live, to be what humans saw him at. He stumbled many times, hence Clark saying "superman was never real. It was the dream of a farmer fr0m kansas". He didn't kn0w how to be that till he acceptd himself. It was all abt character development. S0mething that would've paid off had wb allowed M0S 2 to progress naturally. We'd have seen Russell Crowe teaching clark the ideals of hope and sense of resp0nsibility and learning to cope with the criticisms. He never learnt that at his teenage age, we saw how Clark was just the doting kid who wanted a life away fr0m the farm and to live in the city. He didn't kn0w abt c0nsequences. M0S 2 would've showed that. They made clark kill zod becos they wanted to make him learn there were other ways to win than killing. And him killing zod, did put a fear in him that would've led to a no kill rule and optimism in 'an0ther way' to achieve ur goal. M0S was meant to be a franchise that would've been c0mplete with a BvS as the 3rd film.

u still d0n't get what am saying. U d0n't go watching a film for sake of watching with0ut reading its logline and undastanding if its a c0medy, thriller or mystery. U went watching watchmen expecting a classic superhero film without undastanding if it sets out to just be that. It's like me being angry with Batman by gaslight for making jim gord0n a serial killer or placing batman in a victorian setting. Watchmen was placed in a political setting; the turning point of America and u expect pop corn fun? It featured themes of war and instability, anarchy etc, what u expect?
