Unpopular opinion

I feel like Benedict Cumberbatch doesn't have a wide dynamic acting range.. I have seen him in various movies, and he always seem to be playing the same characters. The eccentric fellow, that always seem aloof that no one likes. His facial expression are the same, line delivery the same,

The Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock homes is the same in every other movie. The only reason why he seem different in doctor strange is the hair cut and custom.. But mannerisms and facial expressions still the same.

What if the Director chose him for the DS role based on how he played the Sherlock Holmes role and he was told to carry on using the same mannerism?

Just saying.

You are missing the point,

The word Samurai comes from "to serve" and John Wick is good example of a Samurai before he went rogue.

In relation to your last comment, you can't attain the kind of skill level of a Samurai if you do not thrive for perfection in your training days.

Makes sense. I see your point.

Sir, you are missing the point. She is British with Nigerian heritage.

Unless she has confirmed that she holds a Nigerian passport, she is British.

It would be like saying Obama is Kenyan when he does not have a Kenyan passport.

The problem is that her original comment described the actress as "Nigerian" rather than saying that she has Nigerian heritage.

Exactly the point i was trying to stress but it's seems the message (which was in plain english btw) got lost in translation.

Do you know the meaning of the term "By birth"? Go back and read my post again. Pay special attention to section 25.

Good God!

1) I quoted Ishilove who posted about a person being born to Nigerian parents. I posted a section of the constitution that states who a citizen of Nigeria is.

2) You quoted me out of the blue and stated that a person needed to have a Nigerian passport to be a Nigerian and you cited Obama as an example. That is totally false! You do not need to have a Nigerian passport to be a Nigerian.

The constitution states that a person is Nigerian by birth if either of the person's parents is Nigerian. You don't need a passport to be Nigerian, it is the circumstance of your birth that determines if you are Nigerian. There are many people in Nigeria who have lived to old age without getting a Nigerian passport. It doesn't mean that they are not Nigerian.

Anyway, I am reporting your post because of the insult in it and I shall not respond to any of your posts any longer. I'll simply report them if they break the rules.

Bad Times at the El Royale-

This movie feels like a Tarantino film and I was a bit surprised to see a certain 'Drew Goddard' when the credits began rolling at the end.

Not too much dialogue, lots of flashbacks that make the plot seem non-linear when it actually isn't, lovely old songs, an abundance of shocking bursts of graphic violence and thankfully little profanity make this movie one of the most engaging I've watched this year.

And the ending! shocked

Oh, the ending.... The climactic scene, Miles' selflessness and Dock O'Kelly's little play acting for the young man's benefit almost made me shed tears. cry

Trivia- The actress who played 'Darlene Sweet' is a Nigerian grin

8.5/10

Good God! Is this what's causing all the ruckus??

Anybody that's born to Nigerian parents is automatically a Nigerian. It doesn't matter if they have another nationality or if they have a passport or not. Examples include Nneka Ogwumike, Victor Oladipo and Chinny Ogwumike. The only question is whether either of their parents is Nigerian.

The person only ceases to be a Nigerian if he or she renounces their Nigerian citizenship and there's a procedure for renouncing Nigerian citizenship and that's spelt out in the constitution.

So, all you need to prove is whether either of her parents is Nigerian or not.

Second picture: Cynthia Erivo wishing her mother a happy mother's day.

Ps. It seems you have a lot of enemies here who want to oppose you at all cost, regardless of whether it makes sense or not.

My darling, anybody who makes himself my enemy is just going to develop high BP for nothing because after I logout of Nairaland, all disappears from my consciousness grin

I am genuinely perplexed. It seems people no longer pursue knowledge. All they care about is winning the silliest arguments irregardless of how ridiculous their postulations are.

If I may interject, Isihlove ain't totally wrong. The actress is also a citizen of Nigeria through her parents. She was born to Nigerian parents who were presumably from the eastern part of Nigeria as her full name suggests so. She more like has a dual citizenship, same goes for folks like, John Boyega, Chiwetel Ejiofor etc.

Concurred.

She's completely wrong and so are you. she could be 2nd generation brit which will eliminate her from being eligible to a nigerian passport. And even if she's first generation brit, ie, her parents were born in nigeria, she will need to officially apply for a nigerian citizenship to be granted one. So for now, she's a brit with Nigerian ancestry.

People be pulling BS out of their ass. undecided
