Uncle Mike came to join me in the room after spending some time in the bathroom. He made attempt to lay on the floor but I stopped him and invited him to sleep on the bed with me. After all I have a large bed that could accommodate the both of us comfortably. I slept close to the wall which is not my usual sleeping position but I needed to make sure I wasn't inconveniencing him by taking much of the bed space. I closed my eyes to sleep but sleep refused to come. My mind kept drifting to the hug we had initially. I could still feel the warmth of his body pressed against mine, I could smell the cologne he was wearing. I slowly started feeling heat despite the cold room temperature. My whole body felt hot and I started sweating. This scared me, I shouldn't be feeling this way, the standing fan was turned on and pointed at our direction so I shouldn't be hot.

I felt the heat from his body drift to mine and I wondered if he was feeling the same thing I was feeling. Or am I becoming sick?. I began to turn on the bed, O crap! this is how I get when I am restless and cant sleep. I was scared I would wake him but I couldn't control how I was feeling. I was so uncomfortable and restless, still tossing and turning. After awhile of restlessness I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, that was when I realized I had been trembling. I was facing the wall so I couldn't tell if he had touched me by mistake, besides the room was dark so I could barely see around me. I became still trying to figure out what was going on and that was when I felt his chest close to my back. He had moved closer to me and held me from the back. Now I am sure he is not sleeping, I must have woken him up with my restlessness. I turned to face him and the next words that came out of his mouth both surprised and woke up something in me. He said to me. "Nancy, I am very lonely". I don't know if it is because of what he said or the loneliness I heard in his voice when he said it but I felt a sense of pity and yearning for him at the same time. I placed my hand on his chest and I felt the rapid beating of his heart. Before I could gather my thoughts his lips were on mine. I was stunned by his kiss but I felt myself...
