Is it that the incoming Finance Minister doesn't have any Professional qualification in Accounting or it wasn't just considered neccesary to be included in her CV?

I think where we are getting it wrong is that we are giving the right positions to the wrong people. How can Mallam Adamu Adamu who studied Accounting and later journalism be appointed to oversee the sector of education where we have hundreds of educational professors in the country.

The CV of former finance minister is dry...
We can't afford to continue with this kind of local brain.
Our finance sector needs an expert with proofing record track records....

Ahmed zanaib CV can't get more than a bank manager in a sane organization. Buhari , pls don't give her minister of finance portfolio again .... She is not qualify for the position.

Which sane Bank will give her a managerial role with that kind of portfolio?

She is a regular Admin staff on the streets.... At best.

Zainab Ahmed's whose educational qualification is in accounting is not the right person for the post of Finance minister.

With an economy expected to grow at 2.5% yearly over the next 4 years, there is an urgent need for an experienced economist capable of ramping it up to 8% annually.

At 2.5% yearly growth rate, it means that Nigerians get poorer every year as the economic rate barely keeps up with population growth rate.

Due to nepotism.
By rights Abu should not be among the first ten universities in Nigeria despite being preeminent in the north. If you doubt that take a look at the private sector and count how many ABU graduates are excelling where merit, not tribe, is considered.

No wonder we have no blue print t from the Minister of Finance, she her qualification. Just a B.Sc and M.Sc from a school you can get on a platter of gold sitting in your bedroom.

How do you expect her to navigate the mocky waters of Nigeria economic environment?

Who told you that Mugabe didn't deliver in Zimbabwe?

You are of the indomie generation.

Zimbabwe is the way it is today because a time came when Robert Mugabe refused to kiss the ass of the Western Imperialists. So they destroyed Zimbabwe economically n pulled out the whites that have been living there for centuries n left the blacks to wallow in abject poverty.

Young African, learn n study your history.

If you think good education don't matter, why not allow a Secondary school teacher to lecture in a University?

Quite shocking.MBA from Osu in 2004 coupled with the fact she graduated with a very narrow degree course(accounting). Also no single international certification or exposure. She cant even make it as a commissioner for finance in Lagos. It will be a a big mistake to make her a substantive minister for finance this time.

I'm saying good education is not all it takes. There are other qualities such as: competence, integrity, track record etc etc.

Here, connection is always put before competence, trust me.

Geoffrey Onyeama does not have a doctorate/PhD degree.

Postgraduatengr:
President Muhammadu Buhari recently sent a list of 43 Ministers designate to the Senate for screening. It took President Buhari about two months to pick his team that would drive the Next level agenda. After a screening by the Senate, with all gaining approval and confirmation. The nation awaits the president to reel out their portfolios, and finally, hit the ground running.

While there’s a lot of politics about who is fit or not to be a Minister, Postgraduate Nigeria has searched and brings you the most educationally qualified among the soon-to-be sworn in Ministers of the Federal Government of Nigeria. Hopefully we can tally their academic work with the Ministry to head and what they have to offer to Nigeria. Personal success shows in public service..

So out of all the ministerial designates, only Igbo have PhDs. But when the cow-loving mallam will assign portfolios now, he will place them under his quota system half-baked graduate kinsmen. Tell me how this country can move forward.
