Two Things Likely To Happen If Tribunal Nullifies Buhari's Election On Wednesday by Nigeria2day(m): 7:34pm On Sep 10, 2019
The presidential election tribunal on Tuesday announced that it will on Wednesday deliver judgment on the petition before it as regards Atiku Abubakar of Nigeria's main opposition party, the People's Democratic Party, PDP and President Muhammed Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Atiku Abubakar, who was the presidential candidate of the PDP in February poll had filed a suit challenging the victory of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, President Muhammed Buhari, during the presidential election.

The tribunal's decision if it goes Atiku's way will be a historic ruling as it will be the first time an election tribunal will sack a sitting president.

Meanwhile, as Nigerians wait expectantly for the decision of the tribunal, a legal practitioner, Isaac Mmaduabuchi, Esq, has weighed in on the likely implication of the tribunal ruling in favour of the PDP candidate.

According to him, two things are likely to happen if the tribunal nullifies President Buhari's re-election.

First, they may declare Atiku, PDP's candidate the winner. Second, they may order a rerun.

According to Mmaduabuchi, "Irrespective of the above possibilities, we expect the Supreme Court to also have a bite at the case as well. Any party that loses will move to the Supreme Court to also look at the matter.

It's going to be a tough one. The manner at which APC is so desperate... I dunno sha.

I wish Atiku the best. If he loses, he should forget appealing the judgement and prepare for 2023.

1. Buhari to be overthrown by the military for the second time in his life if his election is nullified as he would never willingly hand over to Atiku.
2. Riots in some parts of the country pending which way the pendulum swings

Bro, we are in Nigeria even if the Judgement happen to favour Atiku, APC will surely appeal and then to Supreme Court. All these will be close to the end of the Tenure. grin grin grin. I just tire for our system in this country.

Stop being emotional, did you follow the case at the tribunal?
Most of the witnesses Atiku presented were as confused as the most confused man on earth.
Most of them couldn't defend their claims.

In court cases, real facts are the driving forces instead of sentiments and emotions.

You can quote me by tomorrow.

Atiku case will be thrown out of court for lack of merit .

He might even be fined for wasting precious court time.

grin grin Am kuku here in naija, this electoral case just usually take too long at times because as one case is finishing it's giving birth to another one especially for the President and the Governor.
