Lol.... it's not because of airport closure...it has been going on for years now...even all those places you stop to eat in Benin express...
Or they tell all the young boys to come down search their bags and phones... they must find something implicating....even in Lagos...everywhere except the north

what if you are using torchlight phone?
they will still go through it to find maybe an sms they'll use to threaten you with. The best way is to buy these small phones and wipe everything from it. Just put in your sim card and only use it to answer calls.

they are not as brutal within the south east. It's their normal check points in the south east. They just ask for your license and all that but they are brutal along that ore/asaba axis. They are out for blood there. Na wao.

the thing is the check points are close to each other. Sometimes from one check point you can see the next one waiting for you ahead. What of the traffic jam that they cause?

We only come online to rant all day without discussing such issues locally

they know what is going on. You think customs officials will just leave our bothers and then mount road blocks inside the country to extort money from citizens without their oga knowing about it? They know but they won't do anything about it because they know that nigerians will as asual complain and that's it. Like someone has shown us, these people in power need serious daily beating and harassment.

If Nigeria is restructured so that every region will have some kind of autonomy like we have in Scotland, Hong Kong and Catalan...people will build their own airports to any standard they desire. They will have their own police the way they would want it. But seeing what we have in a unitary federal government is very painful and will alienate the Igbos further away from the conscience of Nigeria.
way to go bro.

This is what I saw when I was travelling two weeks ago, these set of criminals doesn't use to be on uniform, with unmarked vehicles, no plate numbers, they operate freely because you don't have anything to hold the down, unfortunately no monitoring patrol team to check this criminals on illegal checkpoints, you can't find them anywhere else except along these lagos Benin High way

Even if there is monitoring patrol team they only concern about collecting bribe from check points.

Nigeria is not a good country.
It can never become a modern society.

Mass protest every day is needed.

But we were complaining that Fulani Herdsmen had taken over those roads, so we should be happy that the police are now in charge.

You lack common sense
