What does bayelsa do with such huge amount of money considering the fact that they have only 11 local governments?
Bagels has just 8 local governments yet very backward in terms of development. That state is cursed

The allocation is justified.

What cannot be justified is the work done.

But I thought South East is among the highest oil producing zones. Why is buhari marginalising the SE like this? Or has he forgotten it is the money from SE that is being used to fund Katsina budget? Not fair.
oyel you mean?

Even Ekiti looks better than Delta state. Shame! With all the oyel money and NDDC since 19 gbogboro. If SW had such funds, you will see the difference. Your governors are just chopping your head. Instead of you to face them you will be hating on Lagos as a way to make you feel better. grin

Even if u combine the whole state allocation plus fct and give to Kogi state, that guy will still own salaries. But the bad thing is that our votes don't count. Am guessing he will still get another 4 years whether we like it or not. I go vote against am sha. cry cry cry cry cry

The level of under development in Delta and Bayelsa state is very alarming even with such High allocations.

Delta state is not under developed compared to the rest states on the list. Bayelsa looks like a village, Akwa Ibom outside Uyo is thrash, Port Harcourt is oppressing the rest of Rivers state( All except 2 higher institutions in the state are in Port Harcourt public or private)), Remove the seaport and watch Lagos state crumble, the place is over populated how do they manage to survive. Name one thing in any part of Nigeria that is not in Delta state.

Even if you divert the whole oil revenue to their state, they will still wail.

Instead of them to hold their governors responsible, question him about the bail out funds, question him about the federal allocations, question him about the state IGR.....
They will refuse, they will shout.... Buhari oooo

If all faults should be laid on the president, then I see no need for state Governors..
how many times have you hold your governors

Lagos will never crumble... the seaport is a natural resource like oyel and we don’t get extra allocation for it like Oyel money states. We should even be getting more than all these states because we have a seaport and we have to take care of millions of people who run from your failed oyel money and Boko haram states to Lagos to survive. You don’t have shame. Repeating foolish rhetorics only make you seem dumb and show a lack of ability to be innovative.

All these allocation we see on paper, but will never show on the standard of lives of the people of the state, too bad. Only God knows where all these monies are diverted to, probably to south Africa to build hotels, schools and luxury business, and now, they would abandon all those investments there and come back home apparently,
Don't depend on any government to ease your financial woes and provide your need. They are all failure. Message me on WhatsApp, lemme show you an opportunity in Real Estate business that would change your financial status for good with little commitment right from the comfort of your home. 07031201057. If you are still waiting for your government, it's your choice to be relegated below poverty lane. Goodday.
Re: 5 States That Received The Highest Revenue Allocation In H1 2019 by JB4life: 10:40am On Sep 12, 2019
The top five states of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Lagos, getting allocation are closely followed by 6.Kano,7.Kaduna,8Oyo,9.Katsina,10.Borno.

Surprisingly, the top ten most developed states in Nigeria are Lagos, Abuja, Kano,Rivers, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, Oyo, Ogun, Kaduna.

What matters more is grace of God and good management of the human and material resources.

This question is probably the dumbest question on nairaland

here we go again.
What has the fg done for lagos and not done for rivers as well? Federal international airport? Seaport? Fdi is what grow a state and that's where lagos beat every other state. And security is one thing that matters in fdi which is missing in rivers.

Why are you singling out Rivers for comparison, was Rivers at anytime planned as FCT?

Then Why are you claiming Lagos will crumble without seaport when you have seaport and oyel money but are backward and worse than Ekiti. Instead of telling your governor the truth you are here dancing like tolotolo. Trying to cover their incompetence by blaming other states and trying to undermine their achievements.
