Lol You are right though.... When 3 to 4 persons saved your name with a particular name truecaller assumes its your name.

That notwithstanding, I think Truecaller's a great app. They need to make a few changes here and there, but let the app remain.

One of the best Apps ever made, one useless guy wanted to dupe me thinking I was in need of a job, told him I had a lucrative job but my sibling is in need of a job, he said he was going to transfer me to his boss who would help him get the Immigration job, as soon as the idiot called, Truecaller just id the fool as Scam..... You can always go to true caller and place a restriction on your number

If you register on the app with the said number, you would be able to change the name to whatever you like.

You can't just investigate a freeware software like True caller cos its never a Nigerian software it founded by Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam in 2009, Sweden. First go through their privacy policy.

I understand where u are coming from...at the same time this app has saved countless many from real scammers too and saved lots of time on unnecessary calls...it has downsides but it's pros actually outweighs the cons...and to address the issue u faced...simply downloading the app and including ur accurate name would have saved u d trouble.. I'm assuming u knew Truecaller was displaying a derogatory name but u didn't bother to change it cos it was funny at the time...(of course my assumption may be wrong)

U can actually create your own profile the way u want it ...and insert profile picture if u want ....if u don’t do this, it won’t be funny if some nigga save ur name as HEARTBREAKER or MUMU

Even if you're not using the app.... it already posses details of your contacts as long as a Truecaller subscriber stored your number in his/her phone ....
Truecaller will fish out the name n reveal to any unknown person that calls u.

So many organisations in Nigeria breach privacy rights... Regulation has to be holistic.

Because, I just bought a new glo line... gave few of my bosom friends.
I just use it flash another bosom friend so he can have the new digits .... boom true caller reveal my name the way others saved it ....

the first person that saved your name via trucaller dialler should be held responsible and not trucaller itself. all these our yeye government sef.
