I have never seen the chasm between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 so aptly and accurately described in light of Scripture!

God bless you Sir. Do you have a meeting place where you teach/fellowship with the brethren? I'd love to stop by.

No doubt, you possess a sound knowledge of Scripture. Hallelujah.
Grace be multiplied unto you.
Hello there.

Very good to hear from you. Thank you for your very kind words.

I do have a WhatsApp group at the moment, but adding people to it means that they would be missing out on plenty that has already been shared on it. At the moment, however, I am working through the idea of creating a more accessible spot on the Internet where anyone who wishes for it can benefit from these things that I have been given to write. If you will give me an email, we can correspond in the meantime until I set it up. Alternatively, you can email me at ihedinobi3@gmail.com.

Grace be with you too, friend.

Hi bro
It's a beautiful thread, but it has to be lively
I saw these thread like 2months back.
You need to be stable.
Thanks
Hello there.

Thank you for your kind words.

Regarding your observation and advice, on the one hand, I had meant to keep the lessons coming, but the new series I picked up turned out to be pretty heavy. Additionally, Nairaland seems to lend itself better to my Q&A projects than to exhaustive teaching. That is why I eventually left this alone. That is not to mention other delimiting circumstances that have intervened over the months. The work that I am currently tied up with is probably never going to be posted on this thread, although I originally meant it to be.

On the other hand, starting out, I did want significant engagement from readers on this thread, but that was never going to be even likely, because it is the rare person who is even interested in really studying the Bible the way that it should be, and because here on Nairaland everyone wants to be a teacher. For these reasons, engagement, if it ever happens, tends to be for the worse rather than for the better. So, the style of writing used was meant to discourage the sort of liveliness that Nairaland is used to. Clearly, it succeeded at doing so. I don't think that to be a loss. Anyone who loves the Truth is almost certain to find this thread on Nairaland, and the lack of rampant activity on it will not turn them away.

Cheers.

Okay friend.

I think the idea of a more accessible platform is perfect. Just keep me in the loop.

Thank you very much.

Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

The problem is not so much reading as it is a lack of love for the Truth. I know plenty enough people who love to read but who cannot stand the Truth. It is also not a Nigeria thing, it's a human thing. Love for the Truth is a very rare thing.

Thank you for your kind words.

Cheers to you too.

Alright.

Thank you.

More grace.
In the meantime, I would encourage you to examine https://ichthys.com. I recommend the following system for doing so:

Ihedinobi3:

1. Read Your Bible!
This is a critical piece written not only to encourage you to read your Bible, but also to help you as far as possible to develop a system for doing so, and to provide you with protection against false teachers, false teaching, and cults that seek to trap anyone who is hungry for the Truth. You will find it indispensable even if only in gaining the ability to critically examine everything that the Ichthys ministry has to teach you.

2. Peter's Epistles
This will get your feet wet and introduce you to much that you will learn on the website. There are thirty-three "lessons" completed here. They are mostly short three-to-five-page affairs, although some get as high as twenty-one pages.

3. Bible Basics
This is a systematic theology that teaches you comprehensively everything that the Bible says about major doctrines of the Bible, like God (Theology), Christ (Christology), Salvation (Soteriology), Angels (Angelology), and very much besides. This is mostly very heavy reading. Some run into hundreds of pages, but it is all very much worth the time.

4. The Satanic Rebellion
This is an introductory series to eschatology, which is the major concern of the Ichthys ministry. It gives you a necessary prelude or background to the main eschatological work. It is also heavy reading, and runs into tens of pages at least for each part in the series.

5. The Coming Tribulation
This is the main work in eschatology. Together with the Satanic Rebellion series, it is actually a very good in-depth study of the Bible as a whole since eschatology embraces and touches every doctrine of the Bible, so if you actually began with both of these series, you would still learn everything in the first two series. Still, the Coming Tribulation series is majorly focused on describing everything that the Bible teaches about the Return of our Lord. It covers a lot of ground. It is the largest and heaviest of all the series on the website.

These four above are the main works on the website, but there are other useful things on the website that should help your progress.

a. Weekly Email Postings
This is a weekly posting that shares anonymized emails that the pastor-teacher in charge of Ichthys has exchanged with different correspondents over different issues and doctrines in the Bible. The post is made every Sunday.

b. Exodus 14
This short series examines a difficult bit of the Bible, namely, Pharaoh's hardness of heart. This is an important study in the matter of free will, which is important because it addresses the fundamental and key feature of human nature that explains our existence, that is, our ability to respond to God's Authority for good or for bad.

c. Email Postings
This is an archive of very many compilations of different emails that the pastor-teacher in charge of this ministry has exchanged with different people who have had questions or observations etc to discuss with him.

d. About The Pastor-Teacher
This would answer some of your questions about the pastor-teacher in charge of Ichthys, and help you decide whether you can trust him.

e. About the Ichthys Ministry
This will give you some background and insight into the Ministry. At this link, you will find other links that may be useful for answering other questions that you may have.

f. FAQs
For any questions that you may have or that you may not have thought to ask.
