How do you handle a wife that careless about dirt? I complained about it to her several times but she is comfortable with it, and I'm getting comfortable eating out than in my house. I'm the type that if I noticed dirt I won't forget it. I know how to cook but it will be wrong for me to ignore her food and walk to kitchen to go and cook. Last time I'm almost ate cockroach in my soup thank God I didn't.

If you see her out side, she looked clean but her kitchen hmm, I talked severally nothing is changing.

What's the best way to handle such persons? Don't forget, she's my wife.

Very disturbing comments. Seems the ladies here now pay a blind eye to something bad and glaring like their male counterparts just to protect their gender.

@op, don't listen to anyone telling you to go cleaning kitchen or hiring a maid. Question is, how long will you clean? The reason I asked this is that in most Nigerian homes, the men are over burdened. They have little or no time for themselves. You can't be telling me to go clean up kitchen when I have a wife whose onion should be to keep the home neat. You could only tell me that if we are both very busy. Regardless, if your kitchen is dirty as a woman, you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Let's tell ourselves the truth and stop sounding Western. The other question would be, how long will you live with a maid when you have a wife? If she bath and clean up herself, then she's just lazy to do chores, which is bad. You're going to have kids if you don't have one already, this will increase the work load that those things she finds difficult doing, she'll have them in abundance waiting to get done. Men don't groom kids, women do. With a dirty wife, your kids will eat way worse things than cockroaches if her habits don't change.
