Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministry, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has charged all Christians to pray for the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Trump is currently facing an impeachment inquiry from House Democrats over a phone call in July 25 in which he (Trump) asked Vlodimir Zelinskiy, Ukraine president, to investigate Joe Biden, a likely opponent in the 2020 election.

It was learnt that in the US, it is illegal to ask foreign entities for help winning election.

Reacting to the development, Trump says it is a witch-hunt and he did nothing wrong.

However, Suleman in a tweet via his official Twitter handle on Tuesday, said that the impeachment inquiry was unnecessary, calling Trump an imperfect man like everybody else.

Whatever decision that is reached by them will only end up in the US senate and Republicans are the majority in the senate. Mitch McConnell who is the majority leader is a staunch supporter of Donald Trump same with over 90% of republican senators so there's no way Trump can be impeached. Not as long as Republicans remain in control of the senate.

The U.S house of reps definitely has the power to impeach a president.However the u.s senate must also hold a trial,after which it either convicts or acquits. If it convicts, the impeachment by the house stands,if it acquits ,the impeachment by the house fails.The house impeached bill clinton in 98,senate acquited him in 99...

What you said is true, but Senate vote does not nullify House impeachment.

People are just getting wrong that, impeachment means removal, that is not correct.

The House will draw Articles of impeachment and by a simple majority vote to impeach him and he will be entered into the history books as the third US President to be impeached.

Then the House will take him before the Senate for trial, the Senate can vote to convict him by a 2/3 majority or vote to acquit him; even if they acquit him, he has been impeached, the difference is, he was not convicted.

Impeachment is like a grand jury voting to indict someone of a crime after hearing testimonies and reviewing evidences....even if that person get acquitted at trial, it still does not vacate the fact that, he was indicted.

The house can actually impeach him and will eventually impeach Trump since he is stonewalling and preventing state employees that are involved in this issue from testifying before Congress as well as ignoring of subpoenas being issued.

The Senate is empowered to conduct a trial and since the Republicans are in the majority in the senate, they may decide not to call for a vote to remove the president because there are likelihood that some Republicans may actually vote for him to be removed from office so the best bet is for mitch McConnell not to bring up the issue up for vote at the senate floor.

Impeachment in United State's is not the same as removal from office that was why Clinton was impeached by the then Republican majority house but failed at the Senate which is why he wasn't removed from office but it is on record that he was impeached which is a dent on his political resume and he is lucky because his impeachment only occured during his second term and not during an election year which is what may count against DT.
