I disagree oga, as much as a believe in self-study in programming which is how I learnt and still learning. Having a good and experienced tutor will make the learning process easier and teach you where and how to start and where and how not to start.

Exactly what I meant, what if the learner doesn't understand where to really start from. For instance start studying NodeJs without sn intermediate knowledge of the traditional JavaScript.
