Only fools start a business with a loan. You're about to ruin yourself. Sell what you have or raise money by working. Don't ever start with a loan.

Granted it is not usually a wise decision to start a business with a loan especially in such a volatile environment like Nigeria's, many have nevertheless done so with remarkable success. Calling people fools for taking initiative in the face of dispair is not only condemnable, it also goes a long way to show a high level of ignorance and lack of class.

What business do you personally have that you started with a loan? I didn't call anybody a fool, that statement was a warning. Learn to read and comprehend before you speak.

Your intentions may be good, but try not to let your emotions get the best of you when you communicate.

If you want to become successful and live a better life, learn how to utilize borrowed funds-----Robert Kiyosaki, Author of "Rich Dad, Poor Dad."
Financial literacy is the currency we're to spend in the 21st Century! Loan is not bad, but the wrong use of it! Let's say, you approached the banks for #2 million loan; With the money, you bought a building worth #1.5M; 300K for renovation; 150K for other miscellaneous expenses! Total cost of acquisition is #1.95M! You got 6 tenants who signed a lease agreement for #600K each, annually. That's #3.6M. Your profit is #1.65M! There 3 types of education:
1. Academic education: Learning to read and write.
2. Professional education: Schooling to get a job! Eg. Accounting, Economics.
2. Financial education: Learning how to make your money work for you! When you work for money, you become a slave to it! Here, you'll learn how to be diversified across multiple income streams. Note; An average Billionaire has at least 7 streams of income! Check out Robert Kiyodaki's Cash Flow Quadrant! In a nutshell, loan is not evil! -----JUSTBUSY

You can use loan to expand your business, you don't start a business with a loan.

If you must start with a loan, get the loan from your parents, sibblings, friends, colleagues or neighbours.

Robert Kiyosaki mentee, mention one business Robert started with a loan, from his nylon velcro business to the t-shirt business to selling Xerox machines to buying gold mines. Mention one business Robert started on 100% loan.

For your information I've read the entire Richdad series from Richdad Poordad to Cashflow Quadrant, Guide to Investing, Retire Young Retire Rich, Why We Want You be Rich and so on.

The problem with you people who don't even have field experience is you don't listen when people with practical experience speak.

I'm sure you haven't read the Richdad series else you will know to start a business without loans and only bring in loans after the business gains traction.

Keep encouraging her to start her business with a loan.
