Like you wrote, I tried my own luck getting to yankee through exchange student last year, and through camp counselor, I found several sites, they don’t accept Nigerians and the one that later received my application refunded back my money because their sponsors says there is a high possibility of me being denied visa by the USA embassy in Nigeria.

It was B1/B2..
I didn't get my permit 7 months of getting into the US. The process of applying for change of status took a total of 7 months .
I have been in the US for 1 year now
