Nairaland has become a medium for fake recruiters to advertise non existing job openings for the sake of harvesting email addresses which are later used to send scam interview invites to some unknown organization with creepy addresses.

The grammar and tone of the invite are already suspect but for a desperate unemployed man or woman, they fall into the trap only to discover it wasn’t a job afterall but network and affiliate marketing.

For anyone applying for jobs on Nairaland, please take caution. Yes! Many have got genuine jobs through it but many more have either been scammed or lost their lives in the process.
