Help Needed For A Prepaid Meter Problem. by Collison2(m): 6:26am On Nov 23, 2019
I think i have a problem with my prepaid meter. For the past few days now, the current being supplied to my house has been very unstable and low. most times, i don't even know there's light except for occasional blinking of the power indicator on the wall socket. This is not a general problem as I've confirmed that all my neighbours have a stable light. During this time, the power indicator on the prepaid meter blinks green as opposed to the constant red light it usually indicates in the past when everything was fine. Sometimes, it doesn't even indicate any light at all... Pls, what does the blinking green light mean? Is it a problem from the meter or somewhere else? How do i go about this? I'm even thinking of switching over to a normal meter but i don't know for sure weather the prepaid meter is the cause of my problems.

Go and call electrician to check your phase. It's not meter problem.

But it's the same phase me and my neighbors are using and they're not having any problem

Are you on transformer or pole. As long as the meter is blinking light is entering so the problem is not from it. Green light means low currents. Just look for electrician he'll sort it out for you. It's from the transformer.

Okay... Thanks a lot . But is an electrician allowed to tamper with the transformer or should i just call the nepa officials to do the stuff. Also regarding your previous question, I'm on pole and it's a community transformer that supplies power to my home... It's just weird that this problem is affecting only me
