'Cos I see millions of Nigerian struggling every day just to have a meal twice a day and put their head in a place. The poverty is real in Nigeria.


Similarly I see some few thousands of Nigerian living in Afluence like money is nothing and spend it lavishly.

You see the truth is: the gap between the rich and the poor in Nigeira is a parallel line that can never meet. We are not saying people are not making money in Nigeria, but it will be easy for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a common person in Nigeria to grow rich without a good support.

You all saying gibberish about identifying opportunity around you and tap into it. How do you tap into opportunity when you don't have the where withal to do that, when you only stuggle to keep yourself alive everyday.


I repeat, if you are a nobody in Nigeria and you still struggle to live a decent life, please use any legal means, get out immediately as far as you can. You don't want to live in regret 30 years from now. Nobody has a plan for you, not even your country.

Go out there and do something meaningful with you life and if you like, come back and invest. That way it is a win-win situation for you. You have nothing to lose. But staying put in Nigeria is dangerous to your generation to come.

If someone had told me a month ago, that I would be leaving Nigeria for USA, I would have considered it a very expensive joke.
Following our successful visa interview, feels right to inform this amazing Nairaland family that my family and I have finally touched down Washington DC. This would be our new home for now.
Feels refreshing to eventually leave Nigeria for good.

It"s freezing cold here, would keep tabs of my daily experiences here in the USA on this thread, but before that, tips on how to survive this chill would most importantly be appreciated.
