For me I don't. Though a mansion is wasting there but what can man do when there are so many obligations and responsibilities one has to meet up in the city?

Secondly I just don't feel the vibe there. Too much envy and evil.

Lastly my kids are comfortable spending holidays with my parents in the city cos my parents live in the city too so what's the point of going to the village I ask?
All these people with just a couple of millions in their account are the ones that always feels that everyone is after them. Make money that even your village shrine, witches, wizards, Chief Priest will all be afraid of. In Igbo land the real rich are always there in the village leading the development of their various villages and nothing happens to them though I don't know whether you are Igbo. Only you everyone is envying.

True.
Even the thought of travelling to the village with all the sites feels one with nostalgia and joy.
My wish is to one day be able to travel to the village and then visit as many local government neighbouring towns/villages as possible during the festive season.
It's fun and educative travelling during the festive season to visit villages.

You are too loud.

You have no idea how petty and wicked some of these village people can be.

As for coscharis and others, don't compare yourself.

Linda ikeji is a billionaire, yet she flaunted her baby bumps. No attacks!

Yet an average woman would flaunt her baby bump and the next thing we hear is a miscarriage!

Guy, this world is too big and very unfair to some people. Just leave matter for matthias!

The op may be right.

Oga you don't have anything... Are you the richest man in the village that they would envy you...

Abeg shift make I see better people wey get money for village

A family friend who is like brother to us in the village, gained employment in October,2002. In December, he traveled to the village to celebrate new year with his family and everyone was happy for him. In January 2003, we that were seeking employment at that time wrote application for employment and gave it to him so that he can our situations too. Guess what, when resumed to his office, he was welcomed with dismissal letter. Not too long his wife left him and he resolved to learning battery charger. Till I write, he never had second chance.

In nutshell, not everyone's lineage is villain, but there are destiny killers who are waiting patiently to strike at the edge of someone's breakthrough. May God almighty deliver us from the snare of the fowlers ijn.

We're sorry for your friend but what you wrote here is simply terrible.

Did you bother to find out why he was dismissed? How do you know he even wouldnt have been sacked in November 2002 had he not travelled to the village?

I mean what are you really talking about

There are numerous examples of when village politics goes wrong but this isnt one of them. Please try to be reasonable.
