Oga you don't have anything... Are you the richest man in the village that they would envy you...

Abeg shift make I see better people wey get money for village

This is not me, i'm talking about the op.

Did I ever talk about myself?

Please read to understand.

While the op might not be the richest in his village, I don't entirely disregard his claims.

I know a man that says he can't go to the village with a car, bro, things are happening.

Well, i can't force you to be objective.

A family friend who is like brother to us in the village, gained employment in October,2002. In December, he traveled to the village to celebrate new year with his family and everyone was happy for him. In January 2003, we that were seeking employment at that time wrote application for employment and gave it to him so that he can our situations too. Guess what, when resumed to his office, he was welcomed with dismissal letter. Not too long his wife left him and he resolved to learning battery charger. Till I write, he never had second chance.

In nutshell, not everyone's lineage is villain, but there are destiny killers who are waiting patiently to strike at the edge of someone's breakthrough. May God almighty deliver us from the snare of the fowlers ijn.

Boss,
No one can kill ur destiny. If way block for Lagos and it’s time for Baba wonderful work. Baba go relocate you to Niamey, where people cry. Then make you laugh, like never before.

Keep ur hand clean and you are as good as Dangote.

For me I don't. Though a mansion is wasting there but what can man do when there are so many obligations and responsibilities one has to meet up in the city?

Secondly I just don't feel the vibe there. Too much envy and evil.

Lastly my kids are comfortable spending holidays with my parents in the city cos my parents live in the city too so what's the point of going to the village I ask?

go & see village pippu na..

Ikorodu here na village

That doesn't mean all the villages are bad...if his clan is filled with witches then he has to pray it out and don't paint others bad

Fake pastors are to blame for this kind of mentally this is because in order to hold the individual captive, they first put fear in him. That you wicked uncle in the village is the reason you lost your job,the reason your are sick...Please run away from this kind of people. They have destroyed many homes.I know of a man who died at age of 120 yrs,yet they were still blaming village people for his death.Free yourself from these fake pastors and learn to serve God in spirit and truth.

Some of you give too much credit to the villagers. Blame most of the misfortunes on bad policies of Nigerian government and leave innocent villagers alone.
The only reason I don't go is the stress of driving through all the bad roads. Wicked people? Na only dem sabi the way to a shrine?

You don't have to be the richest or best in a field to be a victim of envy. Some people are naturally envious to people who are seemingly better than them, and are quick to show it. It's best to stay away from them 'cause they can be dangerous. That's a general notion though, I'm not saying it's enough reason to stay away from his village.

But of course, if you go to a place where people have very little and its perceived that youre wealthy, it will evoke jealousy

This is the same principle that gets you robbed when you pass through a deprived area of town looking obviously wealthy

Its equally unhelpful to dismiss it completely as nonsense and to read deep meanings into it. Its better to keep a balanced view and constantly observe your surroundings

I last travelled March last year. I only travelled in December when my late parents were alive. Nothing really attracts me there during the festive seasons. Its shear waste of resources to travel in December with one's entire family with the hike in transport fare and other huge expenses waiting for you in the village. Expectations at home are just too much. I can always travel at anytime not necessarily during Christmas.

Too much envy. The last time I went to my village the envy from my old friends and some family member was so obvious that I couldn't stay till Xmas. Never again.

Yeah, there's no place where envy doesn't exist. Some don't hide it, others do. The latter is worse, as you can even have them as friends. I guess it all boils down to not caring about what people think!
