Isn't that a Koala?
The koala bear is only found on the continent of Australia. I'll be surprised if someone shipped this kinda animal all the way to Africa only to abandon it. It looks more like a bush baby...lol

Kill it for food and you'll feed few people for a day.
Take it to the zoo and people will pay to see it, feeding hundreds of people for years.
U never hear say zoo keeper dey chop money wey dem give am for animal food? Our zoo keepers dey rob the animals for zoo, u hear?

That is a bush baby also known as slow loris, I could remember, it was caught in my school during my Uni days and a premier uni came bargaining for it though, heard it dead, prolly due to lack of proper care, as those zoologist maybe were not used to the Animal.

I don't know the English name but we call it 'uki' in my dialect. It's is very strong when cooked and when softened very delicious. Though I don't know the English name.
Re: Sloth Caught In My School Today by Dehindepgenius(m): 11:24pm On Jan 13, 2020
That's a sloth.

Modified-- It is a slow Loris like some have postulated and not a sloth. I just read up on them. The world is an amazing place.

This animal was caught in a construction site in my school today.

I presume this is a sloth because of how slow it is.
I didn't even know we have it in Nigeria.
It a very firm grip with the limbs and the teeth.
Treat it carefully if you come across it because it bites hard (I didn't know if it's venomous)

Your school should just make it their Mascot.

It's probably a bush baby... You can check it up
bushbabies (galago) are extremely fast with complicated movements, high leaps up to 2.25m, it should be Loris according to wiki

Re: Sloth Caught In My School Today by LikeCool(m): 12:29am On Jan 14, 2020
That's a Koala, it's an endangered specie. Please don't kill it.
Re: Sloth Caught In My School Today by Ekealterego: 1:07am On Jan 14, 2020
This is not a slow Loris. Slow Sloris are not native to West Africa, although related. This is a Potro.
Re: Sloth Caught In My School Today by blank(f): 1:18am On Jan 14, 2020
Looks more like an Angwantibo or potto. I'm leaning towards the former. I know they are indigenous to Africa.

The channel is very new. I am working as fast as possible. I will cover EVERYTHING I mentioned and much more. But a little impetus from you guys will help (like seeing more people showing interest in various topics. Posting questions on the channel etc. ) Notwithstanding, everything will be covered.

Since it has an opposable thumb it's most likely a primate,so it's not a "sloth ".
Most likely a bushbaby though.
