Fire caused it in Australia this animal mistakenly jumped and fell into the ocean and her landing place was Nigeria pls save the animal don't kill it because I know you guys eats anything you see,THIS ONE IS NOT EATABLE IS NOT MEAT, WHERE is your school located. This is the only one ever found in Nigeria so you guys should do everything possible to preserve the life of this animal called SLOT.
Re: Sloth Caught In My School Today by greygoblings(m): 9:26am On Jan 14, 2020
A lot of Nigerians know nothing about wildlife. The ignorance is overwhelming. That animal is not a Sloth, it is a a Potto in the Lorisidae family, there are many subspecies in the African region. A nocturnal primate, similar to monkeys but rather slow and prefers life on the canopy. Sloths are not indigenous to West Africa and Nigeria. That animal is not a pet and should be released back to the wild.

Kill it for food and you'll feed few people for a day.
Take it to the zoo and people will pay to see it, feeding hundreds of people for years.

the humans shud be kept in the zoo, they are disturbing d ecosystem...

This animal was caught in a construction site in my school today.

I presume this is a sloth because of how slow it is.
I didn't even know we have it in Nigeria.
It a very firm grip with the limbs and the teeth.
Treat it carefully if you come across it because it bites hard (I didn't know if it's venomous)

This is NO sloth; looks like it no doubt.
Though I don’t know the name but it’s a Marsupial and nocturnal animal.

Sloth has long claws; a typical feature second to being sluggish

That's not a bush baby, bush baby is way smaller than this. Most likely another specie of sloth.
