dashing07:You're thoughtless. Step out of the country and go where? Is everywhere outside Nigeria paradise? This is how you mor.on.s end up in slavery in Libya, with your stupid inferior mentality. And if you think Nigeria is ''more backward than any country in the world'', it indicates your crass ignorance about the world around you. Somebody needs to dump your asss in Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Bangladesh, Burma, Iraq, Syria, DRC, Sierra Leone, Chad, Cambodia, Guatemala, Niger, or Burundi, and then you will know what 'backwardness' really is. Ode. |

DMerciful:So you're now craftily shifting the argument?.... Before we go there, do you now agree the info you posted earlier was wrong?... Do you now agree N2.1 trillion was the amount paid for subsidy in 2011? |

mikezuruki:Very poor judgement: Under Jonathan, 1) Economy growing at 7% or better. 2) Total Nigerian GDP, ( then, the biggest in the African continent) was $550 billions us dollar. 3) Security of lifes and properties are worst off now than it had ever being. 4) Tribalism and nepotistic appointments is times 100 percent now than ever. Don't have the time to continue.... D |

DMerciful:Yes I agree, I was opposed to the removal of subsidy in 2012 because the govt then told us they were removing subsidy because 'people' were stealing the money, and instead of catching or punishing or preventing the thieves, the only remedial measure they came up with was to remove subsidy. But then again, talk is cheap! the latest trend these days is for every current PDP sympathiser to claim they weren't opposed to subsidy removal in 2012. And one then wonders whether all those who blasted govt in 2012 (including musicians like Flavour who released a song) were automatically all ApC. Can you swear on your life that you weren't also against the removal of subsidy back then in 2012? |

PassingShot:very simple and straight forward. Peoples mandate !!! as simple as that. Against all odds, we still believe in Bubu to every other light fingers in our political atmosphere and that is the indicator he is definitely doing better than GEJ. If anyone is in doubt, ask GEJ to contest 2023 and see him losing with even wider margin then the 2015 election. |

Xisnin:You can attribute his re-election to anything you like, the simple fact is that PMB was resoundingly re-elected. Who cares about your excuses? |

obailala:Did you say total sum for 2015 to 2018? Haba. Why tell lies anyhow ![]() When you guys screamed oil price was high during the Jonathan years, yet expect subsidy to be low as fuel prices were held steady, does that sound reasonable? You should be concerned that fuel subsidies are so high under incompetent failure barawo bubu while oil prices are low and the fuel price was hiked to N145 from N87. Please face your barawo who has ruined the booming economy handed over to him and ask where he has stashed his loot just like Abacha his thieving idol. www.nairaland.com/attachments/3040085_abachaaa_jpegb9b6ace1c002846314b86b3375f466a0 Government to spend N1.149 trillion on petrol subsidy in 2019 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAriq3_2zaM Nigeria’s fuel subsidies bill set to soar on rising oil pricewww.nairaland.com/attachments/2589504_subsidy2_jpeg57ea79bc1f8758353f00f8db1d53dbf1 |

anonimi:Yes I said it, and it's the truth; the N1.8 trillion quoted ended up being the total for 2015 + 2016 + 2017 + 2018. I'm not a child to come and lie or bicker over nonsense; the N1.15 trillion or N1.4 trillion you posted above were predictions made in anticipation of high average oil prices, pedictions!!! Oil prices ended up not averaging on the high side in those years so those predictions ended up not materialising. It only requires common sense to know that subsidy would have been higher due to high average oil prices back then; no sensible person doubts that (the only real mega subsidy scam took place in 2011 when the subsidy bill was doubled to over N2tn for no reason). But to boldly peddle wrong figures saying N1.8tn was spent in a year by GMb (calling it the highest ever and calling it double what GEJ spent), I struggle to see the sense in spewing shameless, ignorant and childish lies all because you're desperate to force a political argument. |
