Thank you very much sir... I will definitely give it a try.

NettyNelly:
this reminds me of my ordeals with keyboard connectors when I started learning this repairs stuff. I always had this particular problem then, till 1 day I spent 2 hrs fixing this problem. This is what I do. There's a blue plastic attached to the keyboard flex, that helps it to fit firmly to the Motherboard connector. If this plastic is lost, then you need to replace it, I normally replace it by cutting out a sizeable piece of that plastic spiral binding paper. Putting the flex in the right orientation, then the plastic. cut out a piece of paper to attach it at the remaining space and to help hold the other pieces firmly to the Motherboard (this requires a little dexterity to be perfectly done). Then power on your system to ensure it is working before tightening, if not make a little adjustment to get it to the right position.
This will probably work ( no need to replace your motherboard for this issue)

You can upgrade your windows 7 to 10 for free if the windows on your laptop is genuine. It will only cost you data.

Whenever you see the prompt to upgrade windows, connect to the internet and click upgrade. It will download and install automatically.
Remember your windows Should have a valid license or be genuine to do this.

Good morning Fam. I have been dealing with the problem of my laptop going off after every 28 minutes. First, when you turn it on for the first time, it will work for like an hour or more before switching off and when I turn it on immediately again, it will come up again then boot normal and I will use it for 28 minutes before it automatically shots down again, when I power it on again it will come up and boot, it will also last for another 28 minutes. Engineers have diagnosed the problem and it was discovered that the problem is from the board. The first engineer said he cannot work on it because it is very delicate to work on board, another engineer diagnosed it and said that the Bios is bad, then flashed the bios and replaced with a new Bios but the problem persisted. He finally discovered that the heatsink might be the problem, that he's going to change the heatsink but until this very moment we haven't gotten the heatsink to atleast test and see if it would solve the problem.
The system is Lenovo ThinkPad (edge 15). Please if there's anyway or any means I can get it, any of our good and versatile guru's here can help out, please. Heatsink for Lenovo ThinkPad (edge 15).

Thanks Fam. A Prompt and accurate info or response that would solve the problem, would be highly appreciated.

Try a new charger

Another battery.

In more than 50% of the cases , those two are the culprit.

Have you tried buying the heat sink on Amazon or eBay?

You should be able to get it there.

Hi guys...

There's this problem I have been facing with my Lenovo.

I use AutoCD and Revt on it but I discover whenever I'm using either of these, the laptop works smoothly for about 30mns and then, the keyboard stops working but external mouse still works and the cursor still moves.
5mns later, everything stops working and system won't respond again unless I use the hard reset method to switch it off and switch on again.

Sometimes , it comes up with the display I attached to the post.

I took it to an engineer believing it to be an operating system error. We have changed the OS twice ... Still the same. It wasn't like this before when I just got the laptop few months ago.

I'm utterly confused now.

Whenever you post issues. Do this please. Give the exact model number. The 'dxdiag' info. And the system information. On the dxdiag page. Attach the first page which is the summary and the display page. It makes it easier to diagnose laptop problems from this information.

I hope this is not too late. Clean install is always good. But if you have sensitive data on the laptop. Then I'd advice you just install the new windows 10 as a software. All your files will remain intact and you'll enjoy the new f features that comes with the OS.

I guess the cause of the Blue Screen is as a result of the hard reset continuously done on the system

The BSOD is mostly to prevent the system from having a critical damage which can be caused by a bad driver or a software bug.

You have several choices...

For the first option... Do you have the windows installation software? Because if I ask you to download the KMSPICO online, you might end up downloading a malware. That being said, let's move to option two.

If you have the uncracked version of the windows on your PC, just connect it to the internet.

Click on settings and go to windows activation

Select the "Connect to internet to activate windows" option

There you have it, it'll automatically activate if your windows isn't a cracked one.

Do well to answer my first question tho and also give us updates. Thanks

Hello guys.
so I have this problem with my HP 840 ProBook.
The battery is 3hrs+ but I discovered that two months ago, whenever the battery gets around 33%, it goes off and won't turn back on except I plug in a charger. Then it comes back on by itself and resumes charging from the 33% state it was on...it's almost as if it doesn't exhaust d battery but for some reason it must go off.
I've been managing it since then however over the past two weeks it graduated to 75% until yesterday where it barely stays on for 5 minutes even if fully charged.
I've suspected the battery but I also noticed that there is a warning about the CMOS battery at start-ups,also the time is incorrect unless I connect the PC to internet to reset the time.

what exactly is the issue I'm facing?
