since there's no robotic engineering in Nigeria, after conducting my research I finally discovered that the closest course to robotic engineering is mecatronics and I decided to take the course which is mecatronics but what's your advice?
Please is the course good and what's the best university to study it.
Mecatronics is not a common course in Nigeria Universities.

Are they connected to those in power? If yes, then your guess is as good as mine.

The Idea of outrightly Expelling a Cadet from NDA is not so Good, these people have been trained in many ways a normal Civilian doesn't know, Weapons Training ad Handling, War Tactics etc Sending dem back into civilian population is kinda, NDA has many disciplinary measures that will correct the head of any mad cadet, Withdrawal is Extreme

We can not assume that training will turn cadets violent, especially since they haven't been deployed to fight yet. Israel gives all adults weapons training and they mostly turned out fine. My main concern is that many will not find decent work after being dismissed since non DSSC cadets only know military life.

If the bloody civilians don't support the military they will start calling them wicked. angry. I hope you don't see the day when that happens.

1. It is spelt as Mechatronics Engineering

2. Robotics in itself is a subset of mechatronics. All robotic systems are mechatronics systems, all mechatronics systems are not robotics systems.

3. Mechatronics Engineering is still futuristic in Nigeria, however, it depends on your after study plans, but I would honestly recommend it in light of the digital age and coming economic shifts in Africa. If you want to be a margin of safety to it seeing through the lenses of present-day Nigeria, then I would recommend you give mechanical, electrical or telecommunications engineering a shot, then follow with an MSc in Mechatronics.

4. Follow your dreams and here is what I mean...sift through all the advice and make your decision based on logic and your passion.

5. I would strongly recommend you give FUTMinna a good shot for this course, you will not regret it, it is one of the best out there, otherwise consider ABUAD and if you have the resources Covenant will be fantastic.

6. I hope this helps...good luck with your future endeavours.

Calling them animals is disrespectful to animals.

Thanks so you mean I should go for electrical engineering/mechanical engineering first and then later go for mechatronics but what if I highly interested in mechatronics

Thanks,
What do you think about the course
Don't study mechatronics. It is also not much of a sellable course outside the country too. Just study the core course i.e. Mechanical or Electrical, then you can later specialize in Automation/Controls or Mechatronics either by employer training, university/college certification or Postgraduate training at a university or college. If you have any question, let me know. I have 2 Engineering degrees, a Masters in Engineering and also practice outside the country.

The end goal of going to a uni is to get a good job after graduation.
Problem with a mechatronics degree is that it is streamlined. It does not also guarantee you a mechatronics job neither does it give you an edge. A mechatronics job vacancy would most likely (99% of the time) ask for a degree in Mechanical or Electrical, so you would still have to compete with guys in the core disciplines.
However, a job vacancy in electrical or mechanical would specifically ask for a grad in the core disciplines and would not consider a mechatronics degree as equivalent.
You want to be able to apply to as many jobs as possible, and not streamlining your choice from your early career.

Nice one from the Nigeria Defence Academy. Most of them have become a demigod to an extent they can go about blocking the road and insulting people's father because nobody “cowardly Nigerians cannot“ do them anything.
