I had similar issues when I practiced for IELTS on one website like that. It got me discouraged. So I download the Cambridge IELTS materials and used them exclusively for my practice and my scores improved considerably and I went on to max out on IELTS. So some of these websites/apps may have questions more difficult than the actual exams.

Please does Estonia require a blocked account or a required amount of money in your account to enter the country as proof?

Nooo.

Legal income
Requirement for legal income is twice the subsistence level in Estonia for every month of stay in Estonia, depending on the size of the family. In 2017, the subsistence level is 130 euros per month; therefore, requirement for legal income is at least 260 euros per month.

Legal income are deemed to be:

lawfully earned remuneration for work;
parental benefits;
unemployment insurance benefits;
income received from lawful business activities or property;
pensions;
scholarships;
alimony (maintenance support);
benefits paid by a foreign state;
subsistence ensured by family members (i.e. spouse, parents of minor child, parents of adult children who need care and assistance, adult children or grandchildren of parents or grandparents who need care and assistance, parents or grandparents of adult child who is studying at full load, guardian) earning legal income.

Find your way to the nearest country with embassy.

Should I advise you as someone who had 2.2 in chemical Engineering?

Your masters wouldn’t increase your chances of getting a job if that is your aim. Except your potential grad school is an elite one
Instead, work for 3 years in your interested field and then get an MBA.
I got a masters right after uni, but it’s the most useless piece of paper I have right now.

On the other hand, If it’s just a means to travel or you’re an aspiring academic then carry on.

What school did you apply to that waive IELTS Score for you madam.

skimpy:
I sent an email to the school quoting why I felt I shouldn’t be made to write an English proficiency test. I also attached the front page of my transcript from my last school that stated the language of study was English. It might not work for all school tho. Someone tried this recently with a school in Tallinn and they told her it was the end of her application or she could still get back to them with her English test and continue the application.

I don't think they take HND, but you should check their website, I'm sure you will get more information about their requirements there.

I would advice that you write directly to the university or the program contact. So they can tell you. Usually when you apply for bachelors degree you only need your o level result waec neco etc. But maybe having an hnd might give a better opportunity.

So I have finally landed in Estonia. Actually landed a week ago but couldn’t gather myself to write this message. I went through Turkey and it was quite smooth. Traveled with a child and we spent approx 1.2M for the entire process including flights and visa fees. I am certain it will be cheaper for most people because your flights can be cheaper. Our flight fees were most expensive cos I had to fly business class because of the comfort for the child. I’d itemize most of the fees I can remember.

Flight to Abuja, Uber to the visa center, $250 visa fees for 2 people and miscellaneous= 200k
Return Flight to turkey: 700k
9 nights at Hotel: 52k
Food and transport: 51k
Estonian Visa: 40k
Flight to Estonia: 212k
Total: 1,255,000

My Estonian visa was approved within 5 days. Submitted on a Monday and collected the passports on a Friday. No serious questions were asked. If you are interested in applying for turkey visa, you can reply my comment. I will write all what I went through there so that you don’t have to waste money like I did. Photocopying 1 page is 100naira there. Printing of 1 page is 1k. They just extort people a lot there.

Also, I got insurance for myself and child for 39k valid for a year. You don’t have to do swisscare or any expensive insurance. The name of the insurance I used is Axa Mansard.

If you are going through turkey, I can recommend the hotel I stayed. The hotel manager speaks English and can help pick you up from the airport at a cheaper price than what taxis charge, breakfast is free and it’s approx 5500 per night. The room can perfectly sleep 3 adults cos there are 3 beds in it. The name is Lion city hotel. Reply this if you need the hotel managers contact.

Thank you for submitting this report here. I want to ask, what are the required documents that was needed to get Turkish visa? Do you have to get a letter from work or from school or the likes before you got their tourist visa? Thank you.

Please, is it still advisable to consider Estonia as destination for my PhD?
I have wife and son in Nigeria but doing my Msc in China currently. I am projecting for future because I am looking for a way to leave this place after msc and settle down.
Is it advisable to consider Estonia couple with the fact that i will love to settle there after my PhD

Also, what is the standard of living monthly as i am not sure I can save more that 1million naira during this msc program because i am on scholarship.

I hope it is not difficult to secure job because I will love to invite my wife and kid after some months there

Kindly give advise please

Estonia is very good for PhD. They have a good number of research opportunities and they seem to have incentive or monetry supports for doctoral students. You should consider your research are and see which university offers such. Also check what other opportunities does doing your work their bring to you.

Apart from the cold weather, Estonia has decent affordable standard of living.

As for job, IT jobs are more popular but depends on your study area you might find more positions to work in schools as a researcher or even as lecturer. It may be more competitive but generally Estonia is livable if you want to integrate and stay for a while.

Try to read more from studyinestonia website.

Hello I just sent you a pm. I'm also applying to Estonian University of Applied Sciences for the same course you're currently studying now (Agri-food and Business Management) please I need your assistance. I don't know where to download the application form from dream apply, and I don't have my original Bsc certificate yet just statement of result please can it suffice?

Do you really need to download your application form? As for the certificate, you could upload statement of result too. I will advice you to contact the school to explain the situation to them so they can guide you promptly on what to do. I believe they would anticipate such a situation.

My question goes thus my people, I want to know if it is possible to defer admission due to some reasons that hinders you from processing visa to the following year. Thus, Continue your visa processing with the same admission you got a year ago?

This might be coming late but usually your admission gets cancelled, but I think PhD may be different. However you should write to the schools to find out what may happen.

Most schools require minimum of 2:1 but there might be exceptions examples for someone who has working experience in that field or its better to direct this question to the university so that you can state your case to them more specifically.
