Nnamdi Kanu Apologises To Inspector Okon Over Threat To His Children by deantimes(m): 9:20am On Feb 13, 2020
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has apologised for threatening to kill children of Abia State Police commissioner.

Mr Kanu while tendering his apology withdrew the threat and expressed sadness over the development.

The fugitive had earlier threatened to kill children of heads of security agencies in retaliation should any member of the proscribed group be killed during his parents burial on Friday.

He made the threat while responding to the warning of the police barring members of IPOB from gracing the burial ceremony of his parents who were traditional rulers of his community.

But in a statement reproduced on his social media accounts on Wednesday, the secessionist leader backed down, apologised and withdrew the threat.

“This Friday, mourners in Biafra will come together to attend the funeral for my beloved parents, Eze Israel Okwu Kanu and Ugoeze Sally Nmenme Kanu,” Mr Kanu said.

“During this time of mourning, the Indigenous People of Biafra are living in a constant state of fear.

“The Abia State Commissioner of Police is threatening to disrupt the funeral and there continues to be a large military presence in the area, which has a history of inflicting violence against the IPOB.

“This has caused a range of emotions for me. I have now gone from an extreme sense of sadness after losing both of my parents, to an extreme sense of anger knowing that the mourners are in grave danger.

“In this time of immense grieving and anger, I made threats against the children of the Police Commissioner and other Nigerian officials on my radio program, Radio Biafra.

“This was wrong and I sincerely apologize. Children should always be off limits. It was my intention to bring global awareness to the threats and imminent danger the Government has placed on my family and community in hopes that shining a global spotlight on the actions of the Government will prevent them from inciting violence against my people. In doing so, I went too far.

“It is my great hope that the Indigenous People of Biafra can mourn in peace on Friday and can live in peace every single day forward,” he added.

Narcissist don't apologise. Nnamdi Kanu has never apologies for anything before? Unless you see videos of him actually apologising, don't believe it (and you are never going to see one.) It's goes against everything that a Narcissist is, who often see themselves as above other and others as puppets in their hands to do whatever is their will.

In fact, the language of the write bears no resemblance to his manners of speaking and public display. This is poorly scripted by another person.

Narcissist don't apologise. Nnamdi Kanu is not the source of this statement.

Where are those kids who were jubilating that Kanu was right by issuing that threat against children?
There is hope for IPOB after all if Kanu can sit and reason things out like an adult unlike those kids who abound on nairaland.

Dont you think that if Nnamdi Kanu was going to apologise, he would have done so on his facebook, twitter or webpage handles?

Instead, an unknown website is reporting that Kanu apologised with a statement any secondary school student can write? I laugh in Chinese

If true, makes sense.
It would even make more sense if he retracts all his previous rantings he made in a "range" of emotions against other tribes and ethnicities infact Nigeria and Nigerians at large.
Especially important is an unreserved apology to Mr President.

This could be Nnamdi's "ace" to change the narrative.

I cant stop loving this guy. His advisers are really doing a wonderful job. The commisioner already denied he will disrupt the burial.

So this is just a perfect way to go in order to put his movement in a good light.

People should all be careful about the bad things they wish for others, it will always come back to hunt you in ways you do not expect.

Few days ago, we were thinking of this particular issue about how parents have to becareful about the kind of children they are raising.
Here was this Cownu that was first saying he will go to Aso Rock and bring the head of Our darling Daddy,
then he graduated to, our darling Daddy died in a London hospital, that he had all the pictures and videos evidence and a young man of 35 years was brought in from Sudan to become Nigeria president!!! shocked shocked shocked

But it was so shocking and sad to come online to read about the death of his Dad and Mom, happening just months apart!
That was after he wished death for President Muhammadu Buhari.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

People should all be careful about the bad things they wish for others, it will always come back to hunt you in ways you do not expect.
