Let me explain this for those who want to come to UAE with residence visa; there's nothing like coming with residence visa, you will come with employment visa (60 days validity) , but in this case you're not going to work for the company, they are just there to sponsor your residence, it's after you have passed medical tests , that's when the company will apply for your residency. So it's expected that everything should be done within 60 days after your arrival in UAE.

My advice is for you to know your medical status in Nigeria before travelling, cos this has sent many people back to their home country after securing a job in UAE.

peace!!!

Another nice one, I believe the main sickness that will disqualify an applicant are Aids, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis and Syphilis...

Guy sorry for asking too many questions ohh.

So with that residency visa you can start work immediately you find one, your employer doesn't need to do anything further?

even with residence visa is very difficult to get a work, some company don't employ someone with a residence visa, they will ask u to cancel, for me oo the biggest work I have worked with my residence is working at Amazon, the pay was good. And also mind you u can't work with ur own visa if u don't have NOC, trade license of the company, labor card some albab don't out easily give out this, personal residence is better because it will give you ample time to select the best job u like without been in a hurry and end up signing a slavery contract

It is better you change to Dollars in Nigeria then AED in Dubai.

You can also change with Aboki or around MMIA in Nigeria at:

1AED = 110 Naira.

I can't display their contacts here, they are so many in Deira. The most popular one is Abayomi, but I don't know if he's still into such biz

Nice tips, I am looking at moving to UAE too with Residence visa before year end but I have a few questions:

Even without UAE experience can I secure a 5k job with my own Visa?

Will Arabic proficiency be of any advantage to me

Someone also mentioned obtaining a valid UAE driving license but that's too expensive to start with.

Gurus in the house should enlighten us.

Regards.

Arabic proficiency will be an added advantage.

Get International drivers license atleast to show you can drive in home country.

Residence visa allows you to rent your own apartment and start that commercial leasing of bed space etc. You can make good money from it but...

Events security , some sales job.

You can do CCTV jobs and lot of other engagements.

Everything is just trial and luck..

The journey is not for the weak.

You cannot do nebosh igc without HSE1-3 in Nigeria.
Nebosh cost over 500k in Nigeria (you know our people).

Well, even nebosh guys still dey waka about for jobs.

Not decided yet.

This is not in anyway close to the truth, which institution offers Nebosh training for 500k, even the top notch centres do for less than 290k, dont just exaggerate things and makes its seem unachievable.

And you are here tongue-lashing Nigeria as though you have a viable information.

I just did mine last dec for 200+

Which one is tongue-lashing Nigeria?
✔️Roll out your submission without using derogatory words.
✔️The main point of my comment is (Job is not automatic here) even with your 2M+ NEBOSH.

I am not a safety officer or done any safety course and have just seen cheaper ones here on laimoon web.

The ones i contacted in Nigeria gave a bill of 500k so what was i suppose to say?

use Google flights to compare price, then book directly through the airline website.

Yes you can do visa change, I know about 90 days visa, I don't know if it's applicable to 30 days visa as well. But you have to fly to a neighboring country like Oman, you can get a new visa while at the airport after few hours, in some cases the visa will take days to be issued, depending on the agency. While in the worst scenerio the visa never comes out, this has left a lot of people stranded in Oman
