Hi,

I need help with applying for a Zimbabwean Visa.

I have searched online but cannot find the address of their office in Abuja. The phone numbers I found online +234-9-4611322 and +234-9-5239924 are not going through.

The information I found on iVisa.com is somewhat contradictory. It says it will take 2 business days to process the Visa but further down on the same page, it says it takes 6 business days yo be issued the Visa. The 6 business days has in brackets (Monday to Friday). I wonder how Monday to Friday equates to 6 business days.

Has anyone who recently travelled to Zimbabwe please help me with the procedures of applying for a Visa.

Thanks for the support.

You apply for Zimbabwean visas online. Don't use iVisa, its simply an agent.

For those living in Zimbabwe, kindly share with me the tourist attractions (if any), affordable places/malls to shop and do's and don'ts in the country.

I tried to get conversion rates of the Zimbabwean dollars to the USD but did not find any useful information online. Is the Zimbabwean dollars still in use? What is the present rate to a USD?

Zimbabwe is a country in flux, hyperinflation is returning, there are numerous strikes going on, and there is really nothing a tourist can do there, except go on safari or go to Victoria Falls. But if you want to go on safari, Kenya or Tanzania would be a better option, not Zimbabwe.

The Zim dollar is still in use, they've reintroduced 2 and 5 dollar bills, but if you want info about exchange rates and the like, you've got to know that the situation on ground changes rapidly and such info may be out of date by the time you get there.

Unless you are just going to Zim to check it off a bucket list, or to do some form of work for an int'l organisation, save your expensive airfare and go elsewhere.

Read their main paper, The Herald, online to get a better idea of the situation.

Once again, thanks for your contribution.

I have visited Kenya in the past, had a feel of the nature and it's wildlife at its peak.

In the midst of the seeming crisis and economic downturn in Zimbabwe, I am positive to see a thing or two that will catch my interest. I am going for personal reasons.

There is no information about the exchange rates online. I may just have to wait till I get there to get first hand information.

Is Kent Wildlife also in ZIM? I am aware of the one in the UK though.

I am yet to make the trip..... The outbreak of covid-19 pandemic and the resultant ban on international travels spoilt my plans.

You will enjoy wildlife at its peak in Kenya, not too expensive too.

It's been over 7 years I visited Kenya. I cannot recal the exact total cost but I know it didn't exceed 3000USD at the time.

With the inflation rate now, it may cost a bit higher. But you will 'see and feel' nature in Naivasha, Kenya.

Lol, I served in 401/72 SFB Makurdi as a corper though. You're a 2nd lieutenant? I don't want to imagine you're a private, those guys go through a lot. I'd suggest you go to Morocco though, I might be going there this year if I'm buoyant enough. Doesn't cost much. If you have about 800k to spare then you're good to go, you'll really enjoy it. Cost of living isn't expensive, snows in some part, beautiful place, constant power supply etc. Lol, soldiers and officers are natural flirts, not all sha.

I used to be a 2Lt some few month ago.... But I didnt hang yellow bars in my days as a cadet. I hung red bars all through. That makes me spend just few month on 2lt and leave it for colitos. U like flirt, thank you said not all. And u dnt have to be a soldier to be flirt, an average man is naturally polygamous.

What year did you serve in Benue, lemme ask you about a godfather there

Lol. That's right (with regards most guys being polygamous in nature)
