There was tension yesterday at Technical Secondary School, Uyo, Akwa Ibom. Students believed to be unhappy with how the principal manhandled one of the students allegedly stormed the principals office, blindfolded him and beat him mercilessly while destroying properties worth millions. A team of mobile police men in two hilux were dispatched to the school. However, they encountered resistance from the students who hauled stones at them. They immediately disembarked and called for back up from anticultism department who came in 4 additional hilux. A total of 34 arrests were made and the arrested students placed on indefinite suspension. As at today, normalcy has been restored but only few students resumed.

@Codegenesis Stop misleading the public with fake information.. I have three students and a teacher friend at the college. The School principal, pastor David was not beaten by anybody. It was the DPO that got wounded from stones thrown at him. Also Npower teacher got wounds in his left eye. |
