Let's Pool Resources Together And Start A Business by PatrickOkunima(m): 9:34am On Mar 12, 2020
Some years back, I created a thread on this forum canvassing for Nairalanders to come together and establish a business. Unfortunately, majority did not support the idea. Those who did were suggesting unimaginative ideas, like buying of food stuff from the north and distributing in the south. Though it's not a bad idea, I think we can do better. What happened to businesses like Fiverr? Two young men, Micha Kaufman and Shai Wininger came up with this idea and launched it in 2010. Will it not be a thing of shame for 10 Nigerian youths to start a tomato trading business in 2020? I personally will not be a part of that.

Do you want to be part of something big? Please indicate your interest on this thread. We'll share ideas, and the one that has the greatest potential will be picked and resources committed to it. Please steer clear of this thread if you're unable or unwilling to fund the idea.

The floor is open.

I don't wanna share my idea, someone may steal it. It has to do with production, but apart from that, I'm brain box when it comes to ideas or suggestions

Bros forget grin ideas are what they are.... Just ideas, nothing more.

The details is in the execution not in the idea.

I can give you a million ideas and nothing would come out of it if you don't have the tact and co.

I studied and have practiced entrepreneurship. I have also taught it in non academic and academic settings (undergraduate and PG levels), so I can tell you will nearly 100% certainty that people who are scared of their ideas being stolen do not make good entrepreneurs. That's by the way.

Production businesses are capital intensive. The cost of securing a space along is more than enough to setup and manage some other kind of business to BEP. How much more the cost of equipment, labor and raw materials? I am looking at ideas that will blossom into something meaningful, without boring a hole in the pockets of the promoters. Except other members insist, production is a no for me.

Bros, I get your point. We're two different individuals. Your ideas and mine ain't same, I'm naturally gifted when it come to creativity and ideas. I'm a creative thinker. Have you received invitation letter from any international country? Have your exhibition be accepted? My exhibition is currently at Pennsylvania US, accepted since last year April, until now, I don't have the acceptance fees to begin my production. Although I shall comply very soon.

well, I don't accept your proven or rather your findings about individuals who don't choose to share their business idea publicly. I'm a different person when it comes to such. Production is the key, something that will last for years to come. If you don't want to spend more on productivity, why not go for farming (Agriculture). I always think big and aim big. If I give your suggestions, you'd complain about start up. First, I always survey the area which it needed. If it nationwide, there's something we still currently lacking. Recycling, turning of waste into meaningful product.
