Medicare shoukd be given only to those at highest risk of death. The others should just take time off work. You'd normally recover from influenza within 2 weeks max and one week if you have good immunity and good genes. I am not sure the halting of all activity round the world is good for anyone and everyone except the planet.

i think you are underplaying the lethality of covid-19. italy's death rate has just spiked up to 23% in just one day, even one of their medical chiefs has just passed away, dont forget italy arguably has the one of the best health care systems in europe (it is better than the UK's).
