It's no more news that the Nollywood movie industry has taken a very tremendous upgrade in movie making as they have proven to be ready for the real game. With movies like the King of Boys, Wedding Party 1 and 2, Merry Men 1 and 2, The Set Up, Who's the Boss, Living in Bondage, Sugar Rush, Bling Lagosians, Your Excellency, Elevator Baby, Lionheart and many more others. If you've seen any of those movies listed above then you'd agree with me when I say Nollywood is in for the real game.

This article was typed on March 19th, 2020, therefore, the list of movies you'll see here are those that are yet to be released as of the date highlighted, some of which are still in production.

Below are the top five most anticipated Nollywood movies in 2020 in no other of ranking;

KING OF BOYS II

After a successful 2018 release of the first franchise of the King of Boys movie, Producer Kemi Adetiba announced in 2019 that there will be a sequel to the movie which will be released in 2020. The movie will most likely still be featuring the likes of Sola Sobowale, Reminisce, Toni Tones, IllBliss, and some other actors on set.

Kemi Adetiba has been a tease so far with some of her tweets not giving clues of what to expect in the movie but as one of the promising film producers we expect that the King of Boys 2 will be a very big project. We still await the teaser and the trailer to give us an idea of what the movie tastes like.

FATE OF ALAKADA: THE PARTY PLANNER

From the winner of the African Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) for the best actress in a drama for her performance in the Elevator Baby movie, Toyin Abraham, comes the fourth franchise of the famous Alakada movie series by the actress. This one titled Fate of Alakada – The Party Planner.

The movie is set to be released on April 3rd in movie theatres nationwide and stars the likes of Toyin Abraham herself, Broda Shaggi, Odunlade Adekola, Timini Egbuson, Alexx Ekubo, Bolanle Ninalowo, Di'Ja, Davido, Swanky Jerry, Peruzzi, Mercy Eke from the Big Brother Naija show, Cobhams Asuquo, and Mansurah Isah amongst others.

RATNIK

A lot of people are still wondering why a movie that has not been released yet could bag two awards from the AMVCA, don't worry, I'm number 10 on the list of those who are still wondering. But looking from this angle, the movie trailer has been released as early as mid of 2019 where a lot of details about the movie was exposed, we saw the costumes and the graphics used in creating the movie, this should explain why the movie took home two awards. I'm still with those who are saying at least it should be released for the audience score before the honours though. In case you haven't seen the trailer yet, you can easily by clicking

The Nollywood Sci-Fi movie by Producer Dimeji Ajibola from Flipsyde studios is set to be released on April 10, 2020 starring the likes of Osas Ighodaro, Adunni Ade, Bolanle Ninalowo, Meg Otanwa, Zikky Alloy, Paul Utomi, Tope Tedela, Ani Iyoho amongst others.

NAMASTE WAHALA

The first time I saw this movie title I was like, "what are all these again?" well, I had a change of mind immediately I saw the trailer. The movie is a Bollywood/Nollywood movie by Hamisha Daryani Ahuja is a love story of an Indian man played by Ruslaan Mumtaz and a Nigerian woman played by Inidinma Okojie despite the difference in culture and beliefs.

The movie also stars other top actors like Richard Mofe Damijo, Ajoke Silva, and Segal Sujata amongst others.

The movie earlier stated to be released on April 24 has been extended to October 2020 due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic.

Well, you also need to see the trailer if you haven't seen it before, do so by clicking the link;

The movie is still in production by the Play Network Studios and currently in the hunt of a talented actress to play the Nneka role, you can check up instagram.com/playnetworkstudios for more information on that.
After the success of the production company in bagging eight awards from the AMVCA for the Living in Bondage movie, Producer Charles Okpaleke as attentions on him as a lot of people eye his new project projected to be released December 2020.

The movie trailer has not been released yet but you can choose to stay connected with the best movies media to keep you updated on your favorite movies, both Hollywood and Nollywood but the worthy ones only.

There are many interesting films. Now during the quarantine period I am reviewing films that I could not see in cinemas and for which I did not have time. We hooked up at home android stb https://www.infomir.eu/eng/products/android-stb/mag425A/. This console makes it possible to watch movies with excellent sound and in high quality.
