The Huawei P40 Pro was announced yesterday. It is the successor to the previous P30 Pro that was launched last year. The Huawei P40 Pro packs many amazing specs which I will be discussing in this post.

Display and Design
The Huawei P40 Pro sports a 6.58 inches OLED display with a 2640×1200 pixels resolution, HDR10 and a 90Hz refresh rate. The Huawei P40 Pro has a glass back, glass front and an aluminum frame.
The Huawei P40 Pro has IP68 water/dust resistant with up to 1·5m for 30 minutes.
Processor
The Huawei P40 Pro is powered by the 7nm+ HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chipset clocking at 2.86 GHz and the Mali-G76 MP16 for graphics and gaming. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Camera
The Huawei P40 Pro has a quad rear camera setup with 50MP(wide), 12MP(telephoto), 40MP(ultrawide) and 3D TOF sensors. The rear camera can record 4K UHD at 30/60fps.
On the front, we have a dual camera setup with 32MP(main) and IR TOF 3D(depth/biometrics) sensors. The selfie camera can also record 4K UHD at 30/60fps.
Battery and Charging
The Huawei P40 Pro is backed by a non removable Li-Po 4200 mAh battery. As for charging, you have the Huawei 40W Super Charge through the USB type C port and the 27W wireless fast charging.
Network and Connectivity
The Huawei P40 Pro has 5G and 4G LTE network in it for downloading and surfing the web. It has SA and NSA 5G bands and all global LTE bands also. It is a dual nano SIM or a single nano SIM + eSIM models. It comes with Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi, GPS, NFC and infrared port. It also uses the USB type C port for data sharing and OTG.
Software
The Huawei P40 Pro runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10.
Others
The Huawei P40 Pro doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack but uses the USB type C for audio also. It has an in display fingerprint scanner.
Price
It is expected to be sold for about 1000 EUR.

Cause it overtook iPhones doesn't mean it would've overtaken Samsung.. honestly I don't see any company doing that anytime soon..closest would be the xiaomi because of their impact on the Indian and Chinese market but Samsung has been beating them at their own game.
