no, drivers arent the worst, "some"drivers are....and it all depends of YOU. next time you have to be more careful about how you A) choose drivers and B) set up the biz in case of such "accidents".

It is called an accident for a reason. There is a thing called insurance you of all people should know and use it. As for owing you, every driver has his good and bad weeks, I guess he was planning to pay you but the car crashed and you want hime to fix a car that should be fixed by insurance .

What if he died in the accident? What incentives would you provide for his family?

sadly, he is not ready to take part of the blame for hiring this driver AND/OR having no contract in place for such eventualities... as if Uber/taxi driver dont get into accidents? thats the main thing you should prepare yourself against...

he certainly didnt have insurance if he expects the driver to pay for the damage. ARRANT NONSENSE!!!!

The agreement is the driver remits 30k weekly, and owner does minor or major repairs.. Drivers are not responsible for any repairs at all not even oil change ..
But it does not give you the obligation to wreck my car that is the point here. Drivers complain how hard the job is and uber is slavery etc.
When compare to other drivers he has cost me more in repairs than any of them. Have warned several times to becareful, the first month he worked for me , I was doing repairs up and down. He said uber banned him and taxify was his only option. And he has to do all trips in order to meet up etc ...My mechanic had to caution few times ....

Few days ago he complain about this and that, I immediately fix the car and spend over 100k naira, bought 4 tires ,ball joint, a/c compressor brakes etc than not less than 1week spending 100k naira ,he got into an accident that he got beat up for it .

And still owing two weeks rental and didnt he talk about his payment. Because he knows that I will collect the car from him .

Fast forwards to Saturday morning, I was Nairaland checking things out . Than out of nowhere I saw his name looking for a car.. I already deleted his name and number, so I had to double check to make sure it was him and his number he posted...

so that is when I starting warning other potential partners . If he was not advertising for another partner on nairaland, I would not care ,because have already collected the car from him .... But he thought he was smart.....
