Why Does FG And Banks Tie Our Identity To Phone Numbers? by Premiumwriter(op): 12:52pm On Apr 01, 2020
I have always wondered why important things like BVN and Co are tied to our phone numbers instead of email addresses.

One can easily change their phone number, lose it or give it out without getting it back.

Email addresses on the other hand is a lot easier to keep over the years and I feel is a lot more secure.

I mean if anyone wants to get at you, they will need access to your password unlike text messages that are pretty much open to anyone who cares to look.

So I don't know why banks and FG keeps tieing our identities to phone numbers but I think email addresses would have been a better option

How many Nigerians have emails? How many have phone numbers? That should answer your questions

you'll be surprised.

When jamb wanted to start cbt, people asked similar questions but it has been highly successful.

Email address is not something hard to come by and if you don't have then I think phone number should be a second option not the ultimate one

Disposable phone number is better than email address that can be hacked anytime.

Wire wire is through email hacking

Don't take the fact that Nigeria have no database to say email is better.

No time to write epistles.
