Health Tech startup Lifebank Partners NIMR To Launch COVID-19 Drive Through Test Centre in Nigeria

Healthcare technology and logistics company, LifeBank on Monday, March 30, 2020, launched a COVID-19 drive-through mass testing center in Lagos.

Working in partnership with the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), and other organizations committed to the fight against the deadly Coronavirus outbreak including the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

“The drive-through mass testing center will make testing easier and faster for cases that meet the NCDC national case definition,” said Temie Giwa-Tubosun, founder of LifeBank.

“We know the importance of testing in the fight against COVID-19 and we believe that this mass testing center will be a shot in the arm in the national efforts targeted at flattening the curve.”

Lagos residents can check if they qualify for testing by visiting this website to register and book an appointment.

Infact why cant Lagos stat gov release their treeatment regimen to the nigeria ppl to use to stop the spread instead of lockin ppl inside for hunger to ravage them?
We keep hearin tht lagos gov hav treated and discharged one or two ppp,wht are they givin those ppl na? Share it mr sanwo ,is not jst washin hands,giv ppl ya formula.EKO O NI BA JE O! shocked

Bosun Tijani is definitely behind this website and this move comes at the most appropriate time. He is very hard working and his access to foreign education, I guess, paved way for his global connection and subsequent access to angel investors.
I heard about him when Zuckerberg met him during Zuck's visit to Nigeria.

Temie Giwa-Tubosun is also recognised for her doggedness and dominance in a male dominated sector . She's also an American.

Respect to Seun and other tech movers in Africa's most populous nation who made impact without foreign investment or direct influence from foreign network.

Seun 's opinion about the stay at home order is amazing. People should be allowed to work but on condition that they adhere to safety precautions because of the wide gap between the rich and poor in this country. Maybe if Nairaland was enlisted in NYSE , his wise opinion could have been considered.

Crap. I don't get this sensational headline. Which one is drive through test? As long as we can only do PCR tests, this is simply not possible

We currently do not have the rapid test kits so I do not understand what this write up is all about

I noticed no governor is doing anything tangible again for the masses. Covid-19 has provided them an avenue to make useless noise.

Any single act, something other country leaders will not even make known to the public, they call many cameras.

Their supporters are not also sleeping to promote any small thing they do. Thats how some 'kids are even calling Sanwo Olu the best governor in Nigeria.

Has anyone ever encountered a situation where you can't access YouTube or Facebook on Airtel network?

I have enough data but somehow, the aforementioned sites don't work for me once it's around 4pm.

If you encountered such please share how you resolved it.

P.S
I suspect this free data that they gave due to Corona lock down. I usually get notifications that I have exhausted my allocation for the day then the sites stop working even when my subscription is still running and I have enough data.
