mymadam:

shocked Rash name: Nuchal acne

Source of infection: Usually at the barber's shop (via contaminated clippers)

When will it completely disappear?: Probably never (whether you treat it or not, it will likely go and come back!)

Treatment:
1. Good, balanced diet always (Normal, isn't it?).
2. Henceforth settle for skin haircut style (complete shave) - Why? That part of the head breaks when hairs want to grow through the follicles.
3. The big one... Regularly apply a mixture of PYTHON FAT and ALOE VERA JUICE directly to the affected part (usually the back of the head... like yours).
4. Meanwhile, learn to live with it, after all you're just one of thousands with the condition.

GET YOUR CONFIDENCE BACK NOW or...

smiley Good luck.

Reason I always have my personal clipper...

Simple thing.
I have seen somebody with such issue, it was allergic food and drink caused it for him.
Use antiallergic medicine like zyrtec cetirizine dihydrochloride 10mg.
One tablet per day.

It’s not an infection as many believe though it may get infected if the skin is broken. It occurs because your hair was caught too low, and by growing back it causes inflammation in the surrounding hair follicle. It is called Acne Keloidalis Nuchae. It’s better prevented than cured. To prevent it, avoid shaving you hair low. Treatment on the other hand would involve topical steroid creams and antibiotics if there’s secondary infection.

Good morning good people of Nairaland. I hope you all are doing great and keeping safe during this period of corona virus endemic..

Pls I need help!! My younger brother has been battling with a certain rash on his head since 2013. We keep on treating and after sometimes the rashes disappear and appear later.

He has used all kinds of creams and was even on pills to treat the rashes yet the rashes refuse to go. Pls is there anybody that knows the name of the rashes and how it can be treated because my younger brother is gradually losing his self-esteem because he can hardly go out without putting on cap to cover the area that is affected by the rashes.

Suggestions, criticism and possible solutions to the problem are welcomed. Doctors in the house your input will be highly appreciated. Attached below is a picture showing the true state of the affected areas

Pls mods move this to FP for wider coverage

Tell him to put damatol every morning after bath and night too after bath.

And he can also ask around for akerekoro.

Is your pillow and bedsheet clean? Do you have your own personal clipper? Have you tried using Funbact A? Do you shampoo regularly?

Use Vinegar everyday on it, when you get your hair cut they either are dirty or you don't clean up right after. Use shea.butter twice a day.

First quarantine the head.

Make sure you don't share clippers at the salon.

Now, pray that since you are preventing the spread, God should have mercy on you.

Lols. Quarantine his head? grin

Hydrocortisone. If you're using razor to shave, please stop. If not, change from your current barber to a more hygienic one

Get mckoll and thank me later.

apply this cream 2 times daily for 2 weeks and it will disappear. Speaking from experience...Dont ever make an attempt to cut it off or inject it...just leave it until u get that cream, it will fade off and become history for life
