Hi guys,

I need a quick explanation regarding CGPA. I have tried to read through 94 pages of Season 8 and I have seen no specific answer. A friend of mine has a Nigerian CGPA of 2.7 and I have tried to convert this to the German Equivalent but i haven't been successful. Will this grade be enough to get a Masters degree Acceptance?

She's looking to seek admission at

Friedrich Schiller University Jena
University of Bremen
Hamburg University of Applied Sciences

If the grade is too low for a Masters degree, can she apply for a B.Sc. Top Up? Which year will she start from?

Thank you

The grade in german scale is between 2.7 to 2.9.
The minimum requirements for most masters courses is 2.5 which is not even enough to get admission into most schools.

By the way, it also varies from the requirements for admission in to the course.... You have to check courses website.

Her best bet is to look at the baerchelor course

Hello everyone.
In this Covid-19 break, pls how do we mail our docs to uni assist... Are any of the couriers still working at this time.?. If yes, kindly name them and assist with how to go about it.. DHL Lagos is on lockdown.

No courier is working. Don't waste your money. I sent my documents to Estonia since March 27 through FedEx and they didn't tell me that lock down will affect transit. Till today the document has not left Nigeria.

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I already got AL and AD for the winter term. My interview is scheduled for June. I got a scholarship from Germany for my MSc, the scholarship is for one year. I hope I don't need to show any proof for the second year? Pls kindly reply if you have been in a related issue before.
Also, can I get some hints on the interview questions?
Happy Easter!

Congrats. The block accoun usually funded is for a year, that's the 10,236 since your scholarship covers a year you might be safe... And concerning interview questions please search previous threads like part 7, 6, 5 using key words on. Nairaland search, cause u won't get much on this thread.

Thank you for this information. If she considers a Bachelor degree, will she be required to start from Year 1 or do they have options to start from an higher year?

For the second year, you will most likely be asked to provide proof of funds, but that will be when you're in Germany already. Blocked Account is for a year only, same with the scholarship you have already. However, depending on your city and course, you may be issued a Residence Permit valid for two years, some get less though. But mafo, you should be able to get a job that will avail you the necessary funds for the second year.

I'm not too sure about this but you may likely not be asked questions at your interview since you have a scholarship from a German firm. But you may go ahead and prepare.

Why Germany?
Why the course?
Countries bordering Germany along the four cardinal points.
Politics, Economy and Geography of Germany.
States in Germany.

The other questions will be personal to you; your first degree, your BSc thesis and co.

All the best!
